What a difference a few weeks make . After speaking with who I thought was the City Hall Rep , I was told to enter the Shadow Shard to find our missing friends , not realizing just how dangerous it would turn out to be .

Upon reaching Rulaau's temple , I was met by his guards who proceeded to beat me to near death .

As they handed me over , I remember seeing chained to a wall Radio, Crystal and Rumble .

They were being tortured to such a degree , I can't even fully express in words .

This Rulaau is one dangerous individual .

As he float over to me , one of his guards handed him the "Black Death" , a mind control parasite from the Sector 5 quadrant .

After that I blanked out and found myself fully healed and back in Paragon .

It seemed like an eternity with that thing on me , showing me projections that were not real and fueling an anger in me that I had long forgotten .

The team seems to be distrusting of me now , but I must regain their trust if we have any hope to push back Rulaau to the Shadow Shard forever .......

I picked up a contact, Barry Gosford, and he has asked that I look into some Sky Raider and Council activities. I am hoping the Celestial Sentinels can answer the call.

My apologies for not having shown up in the static team last night, but I was down most of the afternoon and evening with a sinus headache. What level are you guys up to now (so I can work on my XP between now and next week)?

Gleam is at 25-26 , so I guess we can get to that point to be safe . Hope you are doing better btw .

Now that Ke'ros has returned to normal, if he truly has, the team dealt a severe blow to the Family and The Tsoo. Imperiana ran into an acquaintance, Barry Gosford who has asked for her help investigating the Sky Raiders. The team has agreed to help Barry. My new homeworld, my adoptive homeworld will be protected from the evil that I was born to defeat.

also, i hope to be lvl 26 by next session. i *need* that endurance draining power.

hey, are any of you guys playing Starcraft 2 at all? It's a great game. i like it so much i'm worried it might actually overtake CoH.

I also have some additional news to share. I have been working on our SG base, and have equipped it with two teleport pads, with destinations available as follows:

Atlas Park
The Hollows
Faultline
Perez Park

I have also added a floating walkway and some colourful lighting effects, as well as a large meeting room (which I have split into two smaller rooms, one of which features some creative bricklaying, IIDSSM

Nah , just wondering . Do you pay for that game also each month ? I'm debating whether to get DC Online but I enjoy COH so much , I doubt I would play it as much .

Oh my friend , I'm waiting on DCU Online to see if it's REALLY worth getting , kinda like CO was supposed to overthrown COH .

Yeah, I'm a bit of a sceptic as well. Need to read up on it more. Find out more details about DCUO. Besides, not sure my PC could handle DCUO.

On-Topic: I'm interested in the idea of a weekly RP static team. What would I need to do to get involved? I can roll up someone new to join in if they need to be in a certain Supergroup. I'd also be interested in checking out the leveling pact with another member of the group, if anyone would like to start fresh with me.

Off-topic:
I bought into CO mania. Even bought a lifetime subscription. Should have known better, I had a huge hate-on for Emmert in the second year of CoH. CO for me had the same problems as early CoH: TONS of HUGE promises without a lot of delivery.

DCUO has a number of strikes against it already in my book: a PvP focus, inability to switch sides, rumors of in-game focus on the "big stars" while PCs take second fiddle, and so on. I'll check it out if and when I can get a free trial.

Off-topic: I just wanted to let everyone here know, that if you're using my power icon pack, there is a significant update available (just thought I'd throw that out here for those who haven't subscribed to the forum thread):

We now have newly created Accolade power icons for the set. These sport a stylish (but thin) antique silver border to difference them from "ordinary" power icons. Some symbols have been changed (some subtle changes, some not-so-subtle), but all still maintain the same recognisable colour palettes with which you're familiar.

Additionally, since the Going Rogue NDA was lifted today, we have new set-matching icons for Kinetic Melée and Electric Control power sets.

Unfortunately, I do not have a toon of that level, and can't make any firm commitment on how quickly I could get a toon to that level (it shouldn't be tough, but life is leaving me not a lot of time for level grinding). I'm getting involved with a heavy RP supergroup that is forming for GR (you've probably seen us bantering on this forum), so I'll focus my efforts there for now. Have fun folks.
