Mids’ Hero/Villain Designer 1.7 DB v17.90417– May 2010

Game Build
Power database in line with game build 1800.201003300904.10T4 (Issue 17)

Changes & Updates:

  • Fixed version issues that was causing false update flags
  • Fixed a bug in Mastermind Patron pools that would not allow the last power in the set to be selected if only the first two powers were taken
  • Fixed bug causing new Defender Vigilance to not work correctly

Known Issues
  • Ninja Run does not display correctly for Kheldian form powers. Ninja Run is replaced with a form inherent power.
  • The powers obtained by Dual Pistols > Swap Ammo, do not apply any effects to Dual Pistol powers.
  • Diminishing Returns for PvP mode have not yet been added, all buffs currently show their full, unmodified values.
  • The Power Graphs for the current build do not display effects for pseudo-pet powers like Ice Storm. This does not affect the Powerset Comparison, which is now fully aware of pseudo-pets.
  • 60 Month Vet reward button not added. This means taking a Tier 3 travel pool power at level 6 or higher is automatic for everyone. You need to know whether or not you are eligible for this reward or you must take your travel power at level 14 or higher.

St0n3y,

I'm not sure if one of your versions of Mids' introduced this bug, or if its always been there, but the recipe viewer (Window -> Recipe Viewer) seems to usually give incorrect values. It seems that for most recipes, it doubles the number of common and uncommon salvage. If you need 3 runes, the window will tell you that you need 6.

When I went to make this post, I was convinced that the count on the number of rares was correct. I had a power slotted with 4 basilisk gaze IOs and 1 lockdown, and I manually at wentworths wrote down all the needed salvage and then compared to the Recipe Viewer. As expected, the commons and uncommons were doubled in Mids, but the count of the rare salvage was OK.

HOWEVER, when I went to check out a specific example to give you that was simple, for this post, and I stuck a jumping stealth IO into sprint and checked the checkbox to only show me the recipes needed for the Sprint Power, Mids also doubled the number of rares (claiming 2 platinum).

Anyway, the bottom line is that Mids' section on the salvage counts in the recipe viewer ... well, its a bit borked.

Just wanted to let you know. I usually use that section to calculate my rares for grinding out AE tickets for lowbies, so they can earn their level 50 rare salvage in advance. But now I'm kinda afraid to.

Thanks,

Lewis

I've stumbled across a bug for Crab VEATs: Crab Spider Soldier / Frag Grenade is always grayed out. It should be selectable at lvl18 (provided the Arachnos Soldier Frag Grenade isn't taken), but no matter what level I try to take it with any combination of powers selected, it is always an invalid choice.

Thanks for all your work on the new MIDs, St0n3y. I salute your dedication.
