I have a ATI radeon 5850 vid card, and ever since it has been in i have gotten drivers have stopped and has recovered message. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the ati drives so many times now i cant count anymore. Does anyone know a fix for this? My computer is more the capable to handle from the game, that is what tech support from nc soft has said.

Install them with the Catalyst Control Center. Use Catalyst Control Center to turn VPU recover off.

Also: what wattage is your power-supply?

Please download CoH Helper and paste the output into a post.

It may be a combination of factors. CoH Helper will give us a bit more information to go on.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Some weird mom?

Could you further explain what you mean by this?

I'm wondering what his computer is trying to upload and to where while he's installing a program.

Thanks for all the help guys, I called my computer company I wont say the name but it rhymes with smell. I rebooted my whole operating system. According to them the windows registry was causing conflict with my video drivers. I did all this and well I have to admit the game is running like a top and I was able to download the ccc. Thanks again to the best community in the MMO world.

I've been having this problem myself since i17. Same deal, Radeon 5850, 750w power supply. My system is more than capable of running the game.

I've not updated my drivers recently (since I got the card mid-March), I'll try that when I get home. What version should I be using?

Edit: and I'll run CoH Helper too, since this happens rliably at least once every few hours.

Edit v2: and I'd really, really rather not have to reformat my system to fix this >.>

Right now, either 10.1 or 10.4.

We'd prefer you be running 10.4.

Update Windows Vista to Service Pack 2. Get all recommended updates available through Windows Update.

You can download the standalone Vista Service Pack 2 installer from this page on the Microsoft site.

Your audio drivers are also rather old. You can download the official drivers from Dell for your computer here. These aren't much newer (Jan 2009) but they are the newest Dell will likely offer.

I don't know if Dell does customization of the audio drivers to tie in with different features on the system such as the keyboard or anything else, but if not you may want to download the latest Realtek drivers that can be found here. Please note the warning text on this page before you install them. If you choose to do so anyway and something else is affected, I gave you warning so don't blame me.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

A question, did the video card come with this PC? Acording to my research, the 5850 is not a standard card for your PC model. Despite having a 750W PSU, I'm wondering since it is a Dell PSU, if the power it's putting out is still not enough for the card if the card is a self upgrade. I wouldn't be at all suprised if it had multiple 12V lines and the one(s) you're using to feed the card aren't strong enough.

It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.
