World of Pain Question
I believe you are mixing things up here.
Point Blank Area of Effect
Team +Damage, +To-Hit, +Resistance(All, Placate)
Is what World of Pain does. It has nothing to do with regen.

World of Pain confuses me.
The description reads that it is Ally, with no Self buff. Combat window seems to support this since I don't see heal buffs from myself to myself from it. But the Attribute window shows a clear jump in regen when I turn it on. From 3. something to 8.something. However, when I turn it on, and take damage, I can't say I see much of a difference, if any in healing up. Even when no more damage is coming in. So, is World of Pain solely Ally, or is it both a buff to me and my allies? |
The regen one Suppress Pain is a +regen for MMs and a HoT(Heal over Time) for Corrs

Mutter... yep, yer right, I am mixing things up. I did actually mean Suppress Pain. Sigh.
Anyway, the description reads that's its a toggle, PBAOE, Ally +Regeneration.
When I run it, I don't see anything in my Combat Window that would indicate it is doing any thing for me.
However, the Attributes window shows an increase of regeneration from 3.x to 8.x.
Also, when I'm teamed with someone else who is running Suppress Pain, I can see the heal in my combat window from them, but still not my own.
So does Suppress Pain work on self or not?

Ah, it was a corruptor on my team that was running what I thought was Suppress Pain. Turns out the Corr version is called Soothing Aura.

As mentioned, [Suppress Pain] is +regen, not a heal. What you are seeing in your combat attributes is correct.

The heal you are seeing in your combat window from your teammates is likely from a [Soothing Aura], which is the Corrupter version that uses the same power icon and visual effects.
Edit:
Geez, scooped by the OP! lol

As Blpup mentioned, the corrupter version is actually different from the MM version in this regard. The Corrupter version fires off a small heal every 10 seconds, and has no +regen effect at all.
Wish they'd switch them around already.
Except in PvP, where it switches over completely from a HoT to a +regen...
