It all really depends on what you want to do. MMs can be built in a lot of ways. From tankerminds to straight up all pet attackless to anywhere in between. So set bonus really become what do you want more of out of your MM. Because a Attackless DS/Therm would set up differently then one that took all the attacks form DS. Personally I build my toons without sets in mind first and get my build tight then add sets as I need them or find them they are not part of my core build more like a nice extra.
I can't comment on the overall worth of the SA set, but unless you're really hot on the psi defense bonus, you could do something like replace the Damage/Recharge with a Damage/EndRed from another set. That gives a pretty noticeable improvement on the endurance consumption, and hopefully the Prince doesn't die enough that a 12 second longer recharge time will be a problem anyway.

Its a pve only toon and i like using the whips. I passed on the 1st whip attack but i plan on keeping and using the other 2.
Right now i am just carefully selecting my powers and slots and not thinking much of io's. I did notice that there are 2 pet sets ( 1 pet set and 1 recharge intensive pet set) that each give a 10% resistance buff to pets.That seems sweet to me...so i will be getting those for sure.
On masterminds, I usually frankenslot, get the most from various sets.
First tier I go for 90% accuracy and 90% damage since they will be lower level to your mastermind as your character progresses.
For second tier I go for ~65% accuracy, and 90% damage, with a spare slot for giggles like end reduction. I notice my ember demon is healing quite well and at an adequate level with 2 SOs for healing. If I don't have to replace demonlings as frequently, that's a big help. Ember demon is currently 2 Accuracies, 2 damage, and 2 heals. I might back off one of the heals SO equivalents if I find the ember demon has larger endurance requirements at level 32.
Third tier I try to get away with 5 slots usually, 65% accuracy and 90% damage. It does sound like for the sixth slot the demon prince will require an endurance reduction, especially with any added features at level 32.

I am a 4 year vet who exclusivly plays COV but i have liittle experience on MM's. I just never really got into them. I thought demons might be cool to play so i rolled a demon/thermal and am having a great time with it. I am now at level 30...which is the time i start thinking about io sets.
Heres the problem....i have no clue how to build a MM. I played with mids a bit but nothing looks right. What bonus do i go for??? Is recharge the way to go?? defense?? plus hp?? A bit of all 3?? To me it seems like MM's benefit the least from Io's more than any other at. Is the soulbound allegiance set worth having?? If so do you put it in the demon prince?? I noticed the demon prince goes through endurance like crazy. The Soulbound set only gives a 26% end increase.
If anyone has build or suggestions it would be much appreciated.
