I'd appreciate if it were put back the way it was or if we had the old version returned to us in addition to this "new" one. Sadly, I doubt that it would happen, considering we have yet to get blank glass plates or a blank logo for those plates after the "fix" to them a while back

While I cannot divulge details of the discourse, I can say in general that he's shown a willingness to investigate it.
If anyone has screenshots of the old beaker rack, it would be very helpful. I've only been able to track down 3.

Most of the shots I've got of the old one are to remind us what rooms look like when transferring designs from test bases to live ones. With that in mind, they're not very good. Here's what I've got anyway.
On the plus side, at least the new beaker rack coming in opened up a lot of jokes about our hero group running a meth lab in the kitchen.

I've been using these as computer keyboards and various other things, like footholds on a large rig-mounted camera. Now they have beakers all over them.

I use them for shelves in my showers (new look fits somewhat though), parts for my wheelchairs, motorcycles, oven door handles, name it.
Beaker! Oh noes!
On one hand, it ruins my makeshift slide-out keyboards. On the other hand, it perks up my shower stalls and glass bar shelves. It would be nice if they reverted to the original empty beaker racks (so that editors would not have to, in some cases, painstakingly remove and replace dozens of items) --and-- added the full racks as a second option.

They don't come much more conscientious and helpful than David... but he's getting hit pretty hard with being responsible for "all things art".
It's a little thing perhaps to some. But it could signal a new era of dev/basebuilder cooperation. Hope so.

Not sure if other people have noticed yet, but the Beaker Rack is no longer empty. It actually looks really cool with all the chemicals on it now and would do a lot better if it were being used as a beaker rack. The only problem is though, in our base at least, only half of the uses of it were actually improved by it becoming filled with bottles.
The other uses of it were things like stovetops, workout machines and on a floor. I really, really wish I had screenshots because it was an incredibly useful item for us. Is there any chance we could see the old one back as a separate item? Both would have their uses, and this change seems to be a little against the devs' philosophy of adding new things instead of changing old things.
