MM is a very good secondary and has great tools like Drain Psyche which helps replenish end. Its one of the better blaster secondaries IMO with Energy and Electric being the others.

If numbers are so much more important than a teammate who is fun to play with, forget about the game altogether and go play with a calculator instead. -Claws and Effect-
MM also has a cone and PBAoE attack, which makes it nice for sets that are lacking in AoE. Dual Pistols has one real cone, one targeted AoE, and the tier 9 is a PBAoE. The Cold Ammo's -recharge would stack nicely with mm's -recharge.
On the other hand, Assault Rifle has one more AoE and nothing to stack with /mm.
If those your two choices, I'd go with DP. There are probably a lot of other sets that would synergize better. Like Ice/ or Sonic/ might be. For your theme though, DP should work just fine. Just keep in mind there's three attacks in /MM. You'll be putting away and drawing your pistols a lot if you use them. You could get by without them, though.
Keep in mind that DP/ was created after the redraw penalty was compensated for. It shouldn't lower your damage at all to have to redraw the pistols. Some people claim the penalty still exists with some powers/sets (Trick Arrow being one people on here mention often), but I have not experienced it as at all an issue with DP.

Personally I'd suggest Assault Rifle, despite what Gilia said about it only having one extra AoE to DP but nothing to stack with the debuff/s, it should be a point that the Assault Rifle AoE/cones are made out of a nuke, a good nuke following cone (which does more damage than the DP cone and AoE combined iirc) and a fairly useful one-two combo of a quick recharging cone and AoE for respectable damage. For AoE carnage, head to AR, if ST damage is more your thing then DP, but seeing as MM is more steered to AoE I'm sticking with saying carrying a single big gun is your best bet.

Concentration + Full Auto + PsyScream has been a pleasure on my AR/Men.
PsyScream + Flamethrower + Buckshot is also very fun.

Hi everyone, I have a concept floating around in my head for some sort of psychically enhanced gunslinger blaster.
The choice comes down to either Dual Pistols or Assault Rifle. My question is how does each primary synergise with the MM secondary?
Also is MM any good as a secondary? I've never played it but it looks pretty decent, more useful than the other Blaster secondaries.
Overall would the concept be able to function as a mostly solo character?
