Afraid I don't have an answer, exactly, though if I didn't know better I'd say you were running the installer every time instead of clicking the shortcut that points at the updater in the game directory.

Ive just deleted everything that could be the installer and then created a shortcut for the updater from the main CoH directory and it's still doing it. But ill have a look at the technical forum.
Quick check - are you running the installer with administrator privileges? The installation needs it to write a few keys to the registry.
Hi guys, sorry for post this in here but i haven't a clue where the technical forum is.
Basically as the title says, everytime i go to open up CoH all it does is the updater opens and then asks me where i want to install CoH. Now i originally installed the game into a directory of my choice then the above happened so i figured it was the directory, so i reinstalled the game and unfortuneatly it's still doing it.
Im not exactly impressed to be honest, but im hoping it's just a simple fix. I don't really want to be continually re-installing the game.
