optional Inf/item theft security feature

I'm loving this new email ability to send things to my other characters or other players but it got me thinking.... Its now even easier and quicker for those that hack accounts to quickly send your items/inf to their global ids. So I'd like to propose a new completely OPTIONAL security feature (<---I typed optional in caps to make sure the kiddies see it)

1. Make it so that in order to send items or money via email that you must first type the answer to a secret question. Such as the forgot password or account question or maybe an entirely different question.

2. Apply #1 with player to player trades (the more common way that they steal from you in other games, although #1 is now the quickest)
3. Apply #1 with player to container storage (they steal your account and invite it to a sg to transfer items to a base storage)
4. Apply #1 with player to market (probably an unlikely way to steal items or money from someone, but why not cover every possible type of way for them to move items/inf from your account?)

You could enable all 4, none of the above or just a couple of the new security filters. This would basically make it just that much harder or require more time for someone to steal from you.

I keep my computer pretty clean, but I do get paranoid from time to time. I hope a red name sees this thread.

I prefer the current method of protection...not using RMT/PL sites and not giving my password out to my "friends" when they stop by.

No one besides myself has access to my account, so this kind of seems like a waste of time to me.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

This but as an optional security feature I would opt of I don't object too strongly.

total kick to the gut

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.

So someone gets into your account...unops from security and then mails the stuff to himself...

Logically they should be prompted for the existing password to remove the setting.

Of course, given the OP's statement:

... wouldn't that not be an issue for them?

I mean, I get what the OP is saying, and if it's something like "My little brother saw my account still logged on when I had to use the bathroom," sure, it'd stop them (assuming you didn't give them the password.) But if your account has been compromised - hacked, RMTers, etc. - I'd think they'd already HAVE your password, so asking for it once more to disable the feature wouldn't be much of a deterrent.

But, he didn't say it would use your account password - he said it would be a "secret question"

I did think it was a different password from login. It's not like I would ever use something like this though. Besides if they couldn't email/trade it away they could always delete it all.

Well if you locked them out of email they would just use the market to get you goods...or trade with themselves. Infact they might not evne bother marketing it at all since they could just trade to an alt they have or a temp they make.

Then, we could add deletion to the OP's 4 cases. Protection from deletion is also useful for personal use in the case you try to delete somrthing by accident. It can happen.

And I think that's exactly why OP bothered mentioning all possibilities, including market and player2player trade.
