How viable are any of the VEATs for farming?

I haven't seen any recent threads on this so hoping to get some insight. I've already got a SS/Fire Brute for Liberate TV, but after so long, it gets extremely boring.

I'm ready to accept that no VEAT will probably be able to farm as fast/efficiently as my Brute. That being said, it sounds fun to level a good VEAT that can at least farm at a respectable rate. Even if only against one particular faction. I could ensure I had a good farm mission setup for this character to farm on.

I have basically no experience with any of the VEATs or variations. If there was one particular VEAT that could farm decently, which one would you say it'd be? Go ahead and assume a pretty nicely IO'd out build, except perhaps the expensive purple sets. Thanks in advance!

I have a Huntsman that is an excellent farmer. Surveillance on boss or LT > Build Up > Venom Grenade > Heavy Burst > Frag Grenade pretty much wipes out yellow minions. Throw in a Patron AOE attack and it wipes out orange minions. Meanwhile, your Arachnobot pets and Patron pets are picking off stragglers and finishing bosses.

I havent' tried one, but I hear that Crabs have even better AOE damage.

Interested in hearing more about Huntsman farming as I have an Arbiter Huntsman build sitting close to 30, and gearing up for 50 in the next month or so (if I can knock out all these silly University assignments that get in the way of xp ;] )

A hovering Crab built heavily for ranged defense would be your best bet, but it's still not efficient for the money you'd be investing.

I don't "farm" in that I don't run the same few missions over and over due to optimum time/reward ratios, but these days my level 50 Crab Spider does run missions at +0/x8 by default for the purpose of maximizing recipe drops during normal play, and I breeze through missions fairly quickly.

I don't farm, so my advice won't be very accurate.
But a Crab-mind with AoE focus chews up most mobs very easily. You don't need to bother with the rifle powers, as the crab powers all have an equivelant or better power.

Get both sets of pets, and go AoE heavy would be my advice.
If you've got a Hunstman build, my advice is the following combo;
Wide Area Web Grenade -> Venom Nade -> Heavy Burst -> Frag nade.

The last two are interchangeable but, when slotted up even half decently, that combo will demolish most mobs at speed. Keep Pummel and burst around for ST hammering (Seriously, Pummel is fantastic. More of then than not it stuns, and is, in general, a staple attack)

If it's vast mob-death you are after, though, go Crab.

Fortunatas and Crabs are both pretty good.
