How does your character explain the weird stuff...

I don't know if you remember the bug where the Ghost Ship would get stuck in the War Walls in Talos, but I roleplayed it as:

"Ladies and gentlemen, the Ghost Ship is experiencing mechanical problems. How that is possible, I do not know."

Probably my favorite game bug.

If I delete a character, I explain it as them having said Candlejack. Although obviously I don't tell anyone they said it becau

I usually ignore such stuff, but it is often fun when you or someone else can translate anything into a bit of creative rationalization.

A dear friend of mine, and great role-player, had to deal with some rather craptastic satellite ISP and it constantly rubberbanded her to a crippling degree...

She turned it around for some rather immersive content at one point.

Her character's teleport and recall friend powers actually represent her very small and limited control of time manipulation. She slows or freezes time for herself and moves normally, but it is a jump to others (relatively).

She developed a feud with my main villain, Malfaz - a demented psychic dominator.
Through battling with her nemesis, and counseling other victims of his, combined with all of her character's issues, her powers began to become erratic.
During this period, her rubberbanding was actually her powers acting out of her own control... It was a great bit of adaptation on her part as well as character development, because her character was truly going nuts... And the combined frustration of the player in real life and of the character's fed each other wonderfully.

It doesn't happen enough for me to care about explaining it away.

Since one or two of my characters are not quite in touch with this time/space/reality, it's just explained as 'losing touch with here and now'

Other than that, I just try to ignore the 800 pound gorilla.

That's not right. They're 3D data displayed as a 2D image via perspective projection. Biiiiig difference.
