Want to try DM/ with Blaze epic, can't decide on a 2ndary.

Why not go with Fiery Aura for that demonic character? I have a DM/FA and having two heals, two endurance recovery powers, a damage aura, and Fireball is tons of fun.

Well, shield is the obvious choice, but for some reason you've made one and don't want to make a second one...crazy. My second choice would be Willpower, but thats true of just about all scraps I've made. Then for a concept driven Demon scrapper it's hard to argue against /DA or /FA, while not top performers they'll be fun and great with the theme you're shooting for.
Trust me, you don't want Melt Armor, you want Char and Fire Blast. Fire Blast isn't that bad of a power to throw into a chain if you need it and it's also great to throw at runners. Put a four spot of Basilisks Gaze in Char, a six spot of Thunderstrikes in Fireblast then you'll be ready to slot Fireball with Posi's.
DM has all sorts of synergies with Invuln;
1) Invuln doesn't have any +regen or a quick recharging heal. Dark fixes this with Siphon Life, which also doubles as an awesome attack only shadowed (hehe) by Midnight Grasp.
2) Dark Consumption fixes Invuln's lack of an Endurance tool.
3) Defense paired with ToHit debuffs is an unholy alliance.
That's off the top of my head. I have a feeling it'll be a tight build, though...

I'm thinking of finally giving Dark Melee a whirl after all my years on CoX and want to pair it with the Fire epic pool (the toon will have a demonic tone), but can't decide on a 2ndary to match it up with.
My last Scrapper was a /shield so I'm not looking to play the same set twice so quickly. I'm also looking to take most of the fire epic pool in my 40's so I need a set that can fit that in.
Is Melt Armor worthwhile? I was thinking of going Char/Fireblast/Fireball for AoE dmg or Melt Armor to mix it up a bit. Maybe both is there was a way to fit them
