Re: Mutant Controller Singularity Power

I have a Controller Mutant. When I open a singularity initially I'm able to select where it opens. This is very useful during combat but at times I need to move it to aid my team. How can I move it to another location without turning it off? Also, it follows me slowly but I need it to be in front of me not over me. It would be more useful in combat if it was in front of me sometimes enemies are so quick they can get to me when I take a step or two forward away from the singularity. What are other's experiences with the Singularity?

First off, there's no way to physically control Controllers' Pets. Only Masterminds get that level of control over their henchmen. So, if you need it in a specific spot, you will need to resummon it.

If you want it to take the alpha strike (the first volley fired by the enemies), then you may need to take a stealth power, or use an Invention enhancement that gives you stealth, so that the enemies see your Singularity before they see you.

It doesn't directly help you, but with Controller pets (since they "have minds of thier own" and you can't directly order them arouns) you need to kind of lead them where you want them to be.

90% of the time, just sticking close to where Singy is hovering will provide you with enough cover. It's repel affect is PBAoE around it, and it's got a pretty reasonable aggro range for using it's powers on the enemy.

Those times when you need it to be repositioned, try running past the enemy. This will cause Singy to follow you and end up in the middle of the mobs.

Not the best solution, but it works most of the time. Normally with my Gravity Controller, I tend to just basically ignore Singy. He's there, he's doing his thing, but I try not to have him be my only method of support. (the same is basically true with most of the controller pets I use...except Fire Imps...those guys I just let go to town)
