Looking for some critiques/improvements I can make, right now what I have here doesn't seem too bad, still maintain about 55% recharge and just shy of soft capped ranged defense when CJ and Maneuvers isn't running, though more +hp wouldn't be too bad.

This may seem an odd opinion, but have you considered shooting for 32.5% instead of 40%?

32.5 puts you one purple shield from the soft-cap, and means that any ally who buffs defences isn't wasting their time; the softcap is great, but to get so close and not reach it seems to me a sure sign to turn around and instead ratchet it back to a more attainable goal, and use the resources spent on it in another fashion.

I'd probably consider it wasn't really too happy with how I slotted PSW >.>

Personally, I think a Mind Dom is much better off shooting for perma-dom. I'd be switching Thunderstrikes for Decimations, again, personally speaking. Basilisks Gaze for Lockdown, that sort of thing.

If for no other reason, perma dom will provide more benefit on the LRSF by sleeping the FP than getting those same Heroes to hit you less.

Global = Hedgefund (or some derivation thereof)

I on the other hand, think that of all the dominators who can afford to not worry about permadom, the mind dominator leads the charge. He can already sleep a single AV with mesmerize; in the LRSF, under domination, fire off a Mass Hypnosis, then re-layer with Mesmerize.

Course, there are probably ways to have both.

This, IMO. I've looked at quite a few of the soft-capped builds that get floated around, and many of them are (IMO of course) ridiculous beasts. Useless powers that will never get used, only there to mule sets. Fun and situational powers skipped to make room for the aforementioned useless powers. Useful powers so severely underslotted as to their primary function that they become useless. You get the idea.

It can be a stretch, but I can usually get to 32.5% defense while still slotting my powers effectively and taking the powers I want. Being one small [Luck] from the soft-cap means I can go a looooong ways on a tray of them, and with inspiration combining, it's exceedingly rare to find myself needing one and not having it.

Some people feel they just really need to be able to stand in a group of mobs while they go make a sandwich. That's fine. There are other approaches to builds that are worth a look though.

you built for ranged defense, you better not be using psw... you are almost naked vs melee

imo, it makes more sense to just use scorpion shield and build around s/l def.

Here.

Same power picks barring the 41+ses, 33% S/L defence with only two toggles running, 15% global recharge and a ton of room for The Good Stuff that gets you permadom. Much more flexible.
