Need a Level 35 Power.
Death Shroud! A. it's a nice PBAoE Taunt Aura helping you control aggro. B. even though it's small orange numbers, those numbers add up to the point it can be one of your most damaging attacks. Yes it is end heavy, but like most powers, slotting can take care of that.
I believe my Dark/Dark tank has Death Shroud 6 slotted. Right now she's running 8-9 toggles, including Super Speed which I turn off during extended fights, and does well enough with endurance. Unique IO's certainly have helped. I did not take either OG or CoF.

On my Stone/EM tanker my damage aura typically does more damage than all my other attacks combined.

Have to add my vote for Death Shroud as well. It doesn't cost that much endurance, it's great DoT, it's your aggro aura... I'd definately pick it.

Since you're a Tanker and you're not spamming attacks like scraps and brutes, you should've taken Death Shroud at level 2 - it's your taunt aura and does more damage than your other attacks over time as C_M_A said.
Oh just saw you asking for DS slotting: if you're short on slots, 2 acc/dam/end and 2 dam/end (from multistrike and scirocco sets - acc is not very high in this setup, but even with 10% global acc after you IO the toon you'll be fine). If you have 6 slots, 6 multistrikes for added melee def and good damage, acc and end values.
Cloak of Fear sucks, really. VERY low base acc, high end cost, mag 2 fear - unless you have slots to spare (like 6 - you need a lot of acc and end reduction) it's hard to make it useful, especially since Dark Armor already in end-intensive.
Okay I took death shroud and it's fine. Thanks for the responses. If this tank was part of a static team I may have taken it earlier. I take taunt much earlier on my toons who are mostly for teaming. On most i take it in the 20s.
Hi I have a DA/Ice tanker about 1/2 level from 35 and was wondering which power to take at that level.
Dark Armor:
Have: Dark Embrace, Murky Cloud, Obsidian Shield, Dark Regeneration, Cloak of Darkness, Oppressive Gloom.
Don't Have: Death Shroud, Cloak of Fear, Soul Transfer.
Ice Melee:
Have all except Greater Ice Sword and Frozen Aura. I plan to take Frozen Aura at 38.
Others: inherents and Sands of Mu, (Blackwand soon), swift, health, stamina. combat jumping, and super jump. (have kb proc instead of acrobatics).
I didn't take COF because Ice patch and OG handle things quite well and i didn't want another control toggle. Soul Transfer or Hurdle could be useful but i would rather have an attack.
That leaves Greater Ice Sword and Death Shroud. I've read that GIS isn't a very heavy hitter so I am reluctant to take it. Death Shroud grinds away at enemies and helps maintain aggro but is an end hog.
For APP I'm open to any but will go either Arctic Mastery or Energy Mastery.
So what is your opinion of GIS versus DS? How many slots for either?
