Elec/Nin stalker-

Electric Melee is one of the top picks currently for stalkers. This is due to
thunderstrike critcal hitting mulitple times with one application. Honestly though, since stalkers were given spirit sharks, most people who play stalker, try to AS then placate and throw a shark, then throw another shark... then... yeah. Another primary that are popular include spines (due to the ranged attack of impale).

Ninjutsu however isn't so great for pvp anymore (my 1st stalker was em/nin) because it is defensive based and defense gets DR'd so heavily in pvp now. It does have a self heal which is good. Really the only viable way to play any defense based 'armor' now is to try to only figh tin your t9. So you have to build for massive amounts of recharge and when your t9 drops you need to use accolades (demonic) and insp to try to keep yourself alive till its recharged again. However most people would tend to go with WP for stalkers (mostly due to the +hp of high pain tolerance) another popular choice is regen for the self heals.

Thugs/poison MM-

Honestly, I don't know much about MM's, I don't play them. I do know that thugs/poison used to be a huge pain in the rear in zone pvp and duels. I am sure for the most part it is still viable as a pvp option.

Earth/earth dom-

I really like earth control for dominators, fossilize hits like a truck and the real gem of this power set is stalgmites, its stun duration is crazy long.

Earth Assault- I am not a fan of it. 1st off most of the attacks are melee, and of the ranged- stone spears (the target has to be on the ground), hurl boulder (good attack) and fissure (20 ft range, and its a target AoE so the damage is poor). Now I could see an earth/earth doing well in zone or duels by stunning an opponent and rushing in for melee attacks. For team pvp however, I am still not a fan. (One positive is /earth has power boost which will give even more duration to your already long stun from stalgmites).

DM/SR scrapper (I am guessing, however stalker would be the same) I actually made a dm/sr as my 1st hero "pvp" toon. I thought that -to hit and the def of sr would be pretty awesome. It was somewhat viable for duels however that was pretty much trashed after i13 and DR. As with /ninjutsu you can pvp on a /sr and just fight in elude and when it drops use insp and accolades and play defensive till its up again.

Yep- i have a ele/wp stalker you can come to one of our practices and see how it works.

kin/wp and km/regen should work.

I like earth/nrg- for powerboosted stuns, but some go earth/fire for more damage.

How does Elec/WP compare to KM/WP and KM/Regen

I honestly have not played or played against that many KM stalkers, however looking at the numbers, it should be decent.


Both of the assassin strikes hit for 139 pts of damage (unslotted) however, if you look at the next 'good' melee attack for KM concentrated strike hits for 179 pts of damage while thunderstrike is 193 pts of damage. CS will make your build up recharge while thunderstrike can crit multiple times.

As far as seondaries-
wp is pretty awesome for stalkers as it gives max hp and a self heal.
regen is nice if you build for hp and rechage because you have a self heal, a max hp)+heal) and a +regen.

Looking things over, I'd either try a km/wp or a elec/wp... I'd lean towards km as thunderstrike maybe a broken power and might get fixed.

Does anyone know of an exceptional arachnos widow build that uses elude? Currently, my widow is more of a hit-and-run kind of toon, but I've thought about respec'ing, so I could use more of a tanking build with elude.

Money is not going to be a problem for me, so please do not hesitate to post an expensive build.

Its nothing that great- I actually reworked my NW build- he has spirit sharks but it looks like fossilize might be better.

It has 28 points of KB protection, which you really don't need because you have 1000%kb resistance but Indomitable will is broken right now and supresses when you are mezzed. In other words, yes you will be KB'd if mezed first, but hopefully this will be fixed.

Pretty good +recharge- 102.5%
acc and damage are ok
recovery:end use ratio is very good
You have enough perception to see stalkers in full stealth
HP is kind of low only 1642- honestly I don't see how I can get it higher unless I split the apoc set and maybe switch to PPP to pick up a pet for the 4% from the purple.

I would have liked to have found a way to work in aid self but I have it on my build and honestly I barely use it. Either you are fine or you are dead when you character is def based.

well obviously this thread is completely dead, but i will try and raise it.....

Its too bad i never caught this earlier....anyways i was looking to put together a PvP build for solo zone pvp. I will tailor it mostly to warburg and RV. Of my options here are the ones i was thinking of, and i really plan on only picking one, so any input on what the best sets here would be is appreciated..

Fire/Fire Blaster

Spine/Fire Scrapper
SS/Regen Brute
Staff/dark brute
DM/SR Scrapper
KM/WP Stalker
ill/dark troller???? maybe.....

Of course as you can see i do have a love for brutes and melee in general...money is not really an issue here..i am going to try and post some builds that i think of when i get them and please tear em apart for me..i have always wanted to have a pvp toon, my km/wp stalker does ok with a pve build..but ahhh he is alright.. so my goals obviously is going to be hit points, recharge and resist..... anyone ever is /invul for pvp? thanks in advance...

ok so i did a quick pvp build attempt at my ss/regen brute...i imagine they dont fair as well as /regen scrappers, but i can get a hell of alot more HP....its close to being capped at HP since i have enough recharge for perma Dull Pain...anyone ever use SS in pvp? please feel free to tear it apart...thanks! also the defense powers at the end are strictly mules for the LOTG procs...

Couple of things, just quickly glancing over the build you put together:

You really won't have perma Dull Pain- because your recharge will get DR'd in PvP. So you won't have perma Hasten and you will be a bit from perma Dull pain.

So before I edited my post- I had mentioned KB protection. I have to admit I haven't played a regen in so long that I didn't even look or notice that resilience gave 1000% Kb resist. I'm glad someone caught that, so here is an updated build.

Foot Stomp is great for PvE, but has minmal useage in PvP, I'd consider dropping it for a more useful power.

As far as epics- Sharks are great on stalkers, because they do ranged critical damage, they are decent on scrappers. However on brutes they really aren't worth the power pick. Most PvP brutes go with either Soul for Darkest Night (if you are dueling a lot or just want to debuff someone), or Mace Mastery for Web Envelope and focused Accuracy.


I made a rough build- it still lacks enough KB to keep you from everything, but it should for most of what you would run into.

The +max HP is up from 138.8% 2079 to 155.6% 2332.96

I figured since there isn't a lot of team PvP at the moment I would make you more of a duelish type of build so for the epic I went with Soul Mastery.

This by far is not a fiteKlub kind of build were you would stand still and spam fast attacks with high proc damage but it should work for running around in a zone immobing a target with Soul Tentacles then KO blowing them to death.

Also if you post on the PvP forums, you might get a few more people to help with the build- I think most of the people who used to monitor this thread and assist with info have moved on to other games.
