Stuck on what to make

Hi hi

Ive just returned to CoH and kinda stuck on what hero to make next. if any of you could gimme a little push in the right direction, ive got a few ideas, but when it comes to actully creating them i think about the other sets and end up starting back reading the forums.

Ive been at this for like 2 days now so i need to hurry up and create one. First thing is the requirements for my playstyle.

I like being in the thick of it when it kicks off so i wanna be able to take/avoid/resist/over heal anything that comes my way in groups. so the ones i kinda like the idea of are /SR, /WP

I like the comcept of dual weapons and fast attacks so maybe DB/? or Claws/?
now i like to pve and pvp, so when i think to make a /SR i think "yeah bit if im pvping, defence aint to clever" so it rules out /SR.

but when i think to make the /WP in the same thought of pvp i think i loose alot of speed, so it stops me from making the /WP.

now given i like fast attacks, dual weapons, abit of pvp and pve, i wanna be able to solo AV's/pylons, do these challanges that i keep hearing about.

so all i can really think at the mo is what to make between
Claws/?
Dual blades/?
?/Super reflexes
?/Willpower

Any ideas what you people think or can input to me id be greatfull, and hopefully i can get out of this groundhod day of level 1~4 and atlas park lol.

My opinions:

Claws, if you want a dual wielding thing. I'm hot for katana right now.

Comparing WP to SR is like comparing apples to giraffes. WP is about robustness, massive regen and recovery, and protection by resistance and ENFC def. SR is about being untouchable, positional def.

I think Fire is the better PVP set (not 100% sure) but it does have big burst damage and pvp is about damage and fire works great in PVE

If you do /sr go fire/sr and throw in aidself for a heal is an option

I don't pvp. But I've read that claws and dual blades are weak for PvP. I don't really know how weak relative to other scrapper sets, but that's probably worth getting a knowlegable opinion about, because you could accidently take a real dog.

To be honest
All melee sux in PvP in its current implemetation.
Though tanks with their bag of hitpoints, epic holds and decent burst arent as bad as you'd think.

Claws' all lethal damage and lack of build up is what makes it stink in pvp.

If im DEAD SET on pvp'n on a scrap it'd be fire/rgn and only fire/rgn. Maybe a spines/rgn.

Not that kat/wp would be better in pvp, but it would be the easiest to achieve the other criteria the OP specified. AV solo'n, Pylon runs, Solo large spawns, etc etc.

Too bad pve and pvp are soo drastically different in this game. Whats good in 1 generally sux in the other.
If you could decide, "OK, i wanna pvp with this toon" you still have to answer team pvp? arena? and whats good in 1 isnt necessarily good in the other.

If you decide, "OK, i wanna pve with this toon" really almost ANY scrap combo can take on AV/pylon challenges.

What I like most about this game is the relatively ease of level'n.
OP, can you not make 2 toons and play each aspect of the game with those various toons?
