It should be very possible. I remember Silverado soloing AVs with an Ice/Cold corrupter.
My suggestion is to aim for at least 33% ranged defense (This way you are softcapped with a small purple), 45% would be ideal though. After that just stack as much recharge as you can so you can get Heat Loss and Benumb up as often as possible. Depending on your tastes Aid Self could also be useful.
This of courser all comes in after you fix any end issues, as there is a decent chance of the fight going long.

in all honesty, depending on the AV, it probably can. I know I've soloed the croa GMs with mine but haven't bothered with AVs because im lazy.
but if you're building from the ground up, go /sonic. more damage more debuff. it'll save you loads of time. of course the ice/cold corr, cold/ice def and cold/sonic def are all capable but the big difference is the time it takes to do it in.

I want to go a new route with my characters and go AV hunting.
I love my defenders, so I wanted to make my first hunter a defender... and I think Cold/Ice could pull this off, but I am not 100% sure.
So, few questions...
1) Is it possible? (I can farm the Inf if the build is stupid expensive)
2) What power pools do I take? (would like to be a hover-fighter if possible)
3) How should I build him? (Recharge heavy, procs etc.)
With the -regen, it seems it should be possible coupled with /Ice's ST damage.
Any other pointers to keep in mind?
