Enhancement slot recipe?

I've heard a lot about people speculating on how they're meant to make level 50s more powerful and I was looking at the enhancements on my powers and I had to wonder:

"There are so many debuffs that would be absolutely disgusting, but only if I had extra enhancements to do that." and then it hit me. What if it was possible for there to be some kind of recipe for makeing extra slots? I don't know anything about making video games nor anything about the game code so I don't know if it would be a immpossibility or something and it might be difficult to keep the slots when doing a respec, but this would be a useful way to make level 50s more powerful, especially if they were restricted to level 50 dops only.

By the way, my character I was looking at the powers is my main which is a Dark/Dark Corrupter so many of his powers would be amazing if I could slot them with special IO recipes.

Any thoughts on the idea? Do you think it's doable or is it just a dream that won't ever come true?

A recipe that if crafted granted the user an extra, empty enhancement slot?
I don't think it would happen, and here's why.
Recipes are either found by dumb luck by pounding through hordes of foes or they are purchased from someone else who did. I don't think that this is the way to go on this.

I'm expecting that earning an extra, blank enhancement slot would done by having the character run through a particular trial. Maybe a TF, a raid or just a story arc of difficult missions.

Now, the very very vague hints we've heard were of "global enhancement slots". That tells me nothing, but implies (to me, but your interpretation can differ) that you can earn a single slot, where the enhancement placed into it can have an effect over ALL your powers. Like a great big Set Bonus.

Your suggestion takes me more to a place where a single power can get 7 or more slots into it. Or at least, add more slots to powers when you've run out of slots at L50. I could get into that, I suppose.

Tell me about the slotting of this Dark/Dark of yours. Are you going with SOs, full complete sets of IOs to get the set bonuses or franken-slotting mixed sets within a power to get the most enhancement bonus instead?
((I'm sure that you are already aware of this, but you can get about 9 SO's worth of performance out of 6 L40+ IOs in a power))
Some powers in this game seem best suited not to throw a complete IO set in them, but to mix+match. (Follow Up is one, IMO.)

The suggestion was actually adding more slots to powers who have less than 6. I personally have a lot of level 50 IO sets which are very decent like, Touch of the Nictus.

The enhancement thing would make the powers much more effective and make level 50s more powerful and special.

Just found out that people have said in game that epic ATs have the problem of not enough enhancement slots as well. I would like to see if this was really possible to add more slots to your character power pools.

Wait to see what Incarnates brings I'd say. Khelds are very slot tight alright, but Frankenslotting works well to cover it fairly cheaply (Domis are bloody slot tight too I've recently discovered).

The problem of balance arise here in a nasty way.

The game is balanced around every character having EXACTLY 67 enhancement slots at level 50. No more, no less.

If one character has 67 slots, they cannot 6 slot every power they have, it's just not possible. That means you have to choose where you want your slots. A character that CAN 6 slot every power they have would be significantly more powerful than one who cannot. Even the most tweaked out, expensive build possible has to work with the same limitations on slots as a basic SO build. An enhancement slot recipe would be exceptionally rare, and only obtainable by the extremely lucky or obscenely rich.

If the devs WERE to give us more slots, it would not be in the form of a recipe. That just wouldn't be fair to those players that never have one drop and can't afford the outrageous prices such a recipe would command.

The only fair way to grant more slots would be by running a trial or something that ANYONE can do. That way it is not based on luck or the amount of cash you can throw around.

very good point. I think you're right about it being done in the way of a SF or TF which would be very useful and I have heard some talk about something "end game" and about ways of making level 50s so much more powerful.

Definantly a SF or TF that's pretty difficult would be fun. I've done the 5th column on hero side, but not villain side yet. I've heard villain side is meant to be so much harder.
