ALL-TANKER TEAM - NEMESIS TASK FORCE (+2/x8)

The illustrious Smurphy has commisioned the creation of a rough-and-tumble Task Force for his Fallout pleasure in this thread. His contest isn't over yet, but he has started ranking some of the submissions that he's received so far. The Nemesis Task Force by @Psyonico is currently ranked the highest and I thought that it might be fun to try taking an all-Tanker team through it. It's quite lengthy though (5 missions total) and I realize that midweek isn't the most ideal time to run a TF, but if anyone's up for it let's see how far we can get within our two-hour window.

Normally, my Wednesday night events are run at +4/x8 but for this one I've decided to go with +2/x8 so that those non-50 Tankers who'd like to participate won't get too overwhelmed. Not to mention that there are AVs/Heroes in this TF and they'd be a pain to whittle down at level 54.

So anyway, if you're interested in joining, just post your Tanker's name, level, and powersets and I'll add you to the team roster. Thanks.

Server: Freedom
Zone: Peregrine Island (AE Building)

Date: March 24 (Wednesday)
Time: 8:00PM to 10:00PM Eastern (maybe longer depending on interest)

Arc Name: 7662: The Nemesis Task Force
Arc ID: 364346
Author: @Psyonico

Enemies: Arachnos, Longbow (AVs/Heroes also present)

Team Roster:

1. Winteriel - 50 Ice Armor/Fiery Melee - @TBoxer
2. Vermillion Star - 50 Shield Defense/Super Strength - @Failsight
3. Ro'gan - 50 Shield Defense/Super Strength/Energy Mastery - @Ro'kig
4. Kold Phyre - 50 Fiery Aura/Ice Melee - @Gruumch
5. Skye Forge - ? - @Silent Violence [Maybe]
6.
7.
8.

Sidekicks are welcome. However, due to the difficulty of this TF, it's highly recommended that your Tanker be at least level 22 (and slotted with SOs) by the time of this event.

Sweet, I'll actually be off work for that! I'll happily bring Vermillion Star, my 50 SD/SS Tanker to that party.

Plenty of room left for tomorrow night's run. Three spots definitely open, possibly five. (There's two people who contacted me in-game that are maybe's.) If, by chance, everyone that signs up is level 50, then I'll raise the difficulty level. Although if we just have a small team, I'll bring along a Vanguard Heavy and a Shivan Shard to hedge our bets against any of the AVs/Heroes we encounter.

I could join with my 50 Fire/Ice Tank. This sounds like fun and I haven't run my tank in a long time.

We'd be more than happy to have you along. What's your Tanker's name? I'll add him to the team roster.

I guess that would help...

Kold Phyre and my global is the same as my forum name.

I have teamed with Failsight a lot in the past and we have a lot of characters in the same SG also

Sounds like fun. Let us know how you do. I expect that lots of Nemesis = lots of stacked Vengeance = lots of challenge for Shield and Ice tankers.

Freedom: Blazing Larb, Fiery Fulcrum, Sardan Reborn, Arctic-Frenzy, Wasabi Sam, Mr Smashtastic.

Oh, I think we'll just be facing mostly Longbow and Arachnos with some AVs or Heroes sprinkled in. The arc's author just named it the Nemesis TF because he used Nemesis as the main contact for giving out missions. Otherwise, stacked Vengeance would be too scary for me.

Sounds good. Was he the one that played Sky Crush at the last all-Tanker get together (the AE Challenge)? Be great to have him on the team again. Now if I could only snag Daranable, Fistocuffs, and Rylas too then we'd have the whole gang back.

Despite having a good turnout for the first two all-Tanker team events I've set up, my luck ran south this time. Several people couldn't make it so it was just me and Kold Phyre. He was a very good sport about it though and still wanted to give the TF a whirl so we duo'd as much of it as we could. I kept my setting at +2/x8 but put it to "no AVs." Unfortunately, it didn't downgrade the Heroes in the first mission to Elite Bosses so we ended up slugging it out with Swan and Valkyrie. Thankfully I had a Vanguard Heavy to assist with additional damage and a bit of -regen. To finally complete the mission we had to defeat Ms. Liberty (who thankfully was an EB) and find 5 annoyingly hard-to-see glowies.

The second mission was full of Arachnos which were surprisingly easier to handle than all of the Longbow from the first one. I think there were less bosses or something? (Multiple Longbow Wardens are a PITA btw!) However, we ran into an insurmountable AV roadblock named Viridian. He couldn't kill us but we couldn't overcome his regen either. I had already used up my Heavy and even the Shivans that I summoned couldn't quite push our DPS high enough. Anyway, by this point it was nearing 10pm so we called it quits. I still had a lot of fun and I hope Kold Phyre did too. He was great to have as a teammate.

Many apologies for not being able to make it . There was a schedule change at work, and I have to study for a possible promotion.

Last nights was a lot of fun even though it was just the 2 of us. The first mission was paticularly nasty for my Fire Tank since I kept running afoul of Nullifier grenades. On several occasions I had 4-5 of them stacked on me and I died before I could move out of their area. Longbow can be very hard on Fire for this reason. I used to keep Rise of the Phoenix, but I had respecced out of it at some point. The second mission was much easier since Arachnos seem to catch fire very easily

I look forward to doing another one of these and hopefully we will have more Tankers so up.

I missed you last night, it has been a long time since we teamed together.

We seem to be the only 2 left in the SG and we never are on at the same time. It was crazy fun.

No apologies necessary. Real life always takes precedence, and there's always next time. Anyway, congrats on your possible promotion!

Glad you had fun and it was great teaming with ya, Gruumch. And I think I already know what to do for the next get together (muhaha). I'll try to have a recruitment thread posted for it by tomorrow or Saturday.
