Hey Ditzy.
Of late I've been levelling a Fire/Earth Dom and having a ball with it. It's well into perma territory even though he's only L46 and I'm also filling him out with lots of damage procs. He's a tad heavy on the endurance but he can easily handle either large equivalency settings or large +level settings and I'm trying to work out where the happy medium is with both in the mix.
As for lack of posting, that's more a function of what I'm doing at work at the moment. With some major deadlines looming, little things like reading the forums at lunch time at work suffer.

Earth/Earth is the best Dom combo I've ever seen or played. The visuals, the sounds, the effectiveness, it's all there. And the best thing is your pet doesn't have to look like a turd anymore, unless you want it to, in which case you can make it look even more like a turd. Earth/Earth is just that great.

Super Reflexes: the Golden Fox of power sets!
WARNING: I bold names.
Finished the (*&$#(%^%* Bane to 50. Finished that night playing my Mind/Fire (45) which is still incredibly fun. Plus, running on occasion as part of an /earth duo (Ice/earth for me, since - well, I really like Ice/, Fire/ for the other half) and I just have too much fun flipping/smacking down/etc. enemies.
I've tried the post-tweak /energy, having had trouble with its previous incarnation. On a Mind/psi, it's pretty solid.
Plant/Earth is fun, too. Smashy, and the smashy amongst trashing vines should be fun. (Not that far yet.) Seeds is great for mitigating any melee punishment that /earth might elsewise feel.
Fire/fire is devastating. The higher damage mod gives fiery embrace a lot of 'oomph.' I can't wait to pair that with soul drain. >:-)
Otherwise? playing my Mind/Psi...only 9 arcs to go to complete all in-game stories.

But gah that means rolling another earth toon and I hate repeating sets.
earth/fire is hella fun also!
But nothing tops the greatness of grav/thorn
