Single target attack chain for Electric Melee
As you are /Elec then you may have endurance on tap so just chain the best DPAs you can get.
He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.

Charged Brawl - 42.20
Havoc Punch - 36.7
Jacob's Ladder - 37.46
Thunder Strike - 24.77
Chain Induction - 55.06
Lightning Rod - 51.93
Boxing - 29.62
So, based on this alone, I should be using CI, Charged Brawl, and Jacob's Ladder as my primary attacks for single targets.
With Lightning Reflexes and Hasten (90% recharge), recharge times are 1.57, 4.21, and 7.37, and the corresponding activations times are .83, 1.67, and 1. I don't think I can build a gap-less attack chain out of just those three attacks without absurd amounts of additional recharge slotted. So then that leaves the question of what to fill in with. Boxing and Havoc Punch both have better DPA than Thunder Strike, but I'm not sure I have the power pick to get Havoc Punch, or the slots (at least right now) to slot up boxing.
Hmm.....
Don't forget the PPP attacks are pretty great too. Lightning Blast is pretty good, Gloom is phenomenal.
The Melee Teaming Guide for Melee Mans
I believe the min-maxers over at the scrapper forum determined the "best" attack chain for Brute electric melee to be Gloom/Chain Induction/Jacob's Ladder/Charged Brawl.
This assumes lots of recharge to make it seemless. I'll never do that just because I hate the animation for jacob's ladder so I don't use it anymore nomatter how good it is.
Using SOs and no gloom/haste really guts the chain, and the best you can do is:
Chain Induction/charged Brawl/brawl/Jacob's ladder/Charged brawl/brawl. havok punch/charged brawl/brawl
Leaves you with 106 dps.
This was a while back, not 100% sure how accurate it still is.
On mine, I use Havok/Charged Brawl/Chain Induction/Charged Brawl with Thunder Strike and Lightning Rod mixed in as needed since I don't have enough recharge to make it seemless and the occasional Artic Breath for the -res. Definitely not even close to the best damage I could be doing, but it works ok for me. I'm looking to build into something better as I get better enhancements slotted.

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.
I stagger Charged Brawl in between Chain Induction, Mu Lighning, Ball Lightning, Jacob's Ladder, and rarely use Havoc Punch on my Elec/Elec/Mu. She hasn't been respecced since before Energize was added, though. If I were redoing it I'd aim for a little more recharge and skip Havoc Punch. The rest of the chain fills itself out fairly well with the patron attacks and Lightning Rod.
it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.

Playing around with an Elec/Elec brute, and getting good aoe damage seems fairly straightforward (Thunderstrike, Chain Induction, Lightening Rod, Build Up, the damage aura, etc.). However, I'm having trouble figuring out how to go about building a relatively efficient single-target attack chain. Yes, I know that's not what Elec is good at. I'd just like to not take forever finishing off the last boss or two in a large spawn.
A few questions along these lines:
-Charged Brawl, Havoc Punch, and Jacob's Ladder - Which ones to take? Pros/Cons of different combinations?
-Boxing as a filler, perhaps? I want toughness at some point anyway.
-Is Chain Induction "worth" using against a single target? It's damage is comparable to Havoc punch, but CI has shorter activation and way higher Endurance cost.
-Same question for Thunderstrike, although that seems much more clearly 'overpriced' in terms of End cost and activation time than CI.
-If I've got Lightening Reflexes and Hasten up most of the time, do I need to slot any recharge in the faster attack powers at all?
Note that I'm only around level 20 with this guy right now. IO advice is nice, but I'd like to know how you'd approach this while leveling, when set bonuses are much less of a factor.
Or am I going about this all wrong, and just spamming aoe even against one target is the way to go?
