how much knockback prot do i need ?

I am respecting my DA/DB out of acrobatics and getting knockback prot from sets. How much do i need? I do not PvP. My understanding was that anything over 6 pts was fine for PvE, but i see a lot of people are getting 10+pts in their builds. I was planning for 7, should i plan for more?

I would plan for -8. -4 is fine for most everything, but -8 will help versus almost everything. Nem's, Mary MaComber, a couple AV's, though I dont recall who now, will get through -8.

Yep, mag 8 would be my recommendation. And unless you've got influence to burn, stay away from the BotZ KB IO. It's much, much more expensive than the Steadfast or Karma IOs, and between your resist toggles and CoD, DA has plenty of places to put a -KB IO.

Mag 8, two Steadfast's worth, is what I have in my dark and fire tankers, but frankly, mag 4 is probably enough for all but the most extreme situations. Mag 12 will put you on a par with the sets that have it natively.

Neither Dark nor Fire tankers lose the aggro they had instantly upon being moved, and knockback only takes you out of the action for a couple seconds, so my opinion is that it isn't that big a deal.

I think it's a bigger issue for Dark than it is for Fire; Dark's heal depends on having foes in melee range, FA's does not.

Yep, as everyone else has said mag 8 will prevent k/b in over 90% of whatever you face, any lower though and you'll get swatted around now and then. =p

Hey, if you're lucky, you'll get knocked into fresh mobs instead.

I will admit that I have more experience with Fire than with Dark.
