"Requesting Patch..."

So, it's been a long time since I played City of Heroes. But hey, free weekend, right?

Now, I download the installer, which runs fine.
Then I run cohupdater, which insists on checksumming (which seems to go fine) then it reaches "requesting patch" and sits there, never actually doing anything.

Anyone have any ideas what I could maybe do to get this to work?

My characters are not "toons". They are all project characters, though.

Having the exact same issue. Pretty annoyed to say the least. Just spent the $30 for the advanced Going Rogue and now I can't even get in.

Are you by any chance on a satellite connection? That's pretty common on satellite. The workaround in that situation is to start the updater, then start another, then another and another. You want at least 5 or 6 of them open, trying to connect. As soon as one connects, the others will display an error message and you can close them. I would try this even if you aren't on satellite.

Nope, no satellite here.
I did however recently upgrade my OS. It used to work fine before the OS upgrade (and in fact still works fine on a related laptop, whose OS also got upgraded).
