Is this a viable Elec/Elec Brute Build?

kay, my first 50 villain was this brute, The Red Voltier, and I'm definitely wanting to get some more playtime out of him.

The poor guy has been sitting around doing nothing for almost a year, and I miss playing him the damage is awesome...but he's only SO Slotted because I had no Idea how to slot him to make him more survivable. Here's my best attempt so far. I know it's probably got some HUGE problems, but I'm hoping that between myself and the good people here in the brute forum, we'll be able to come up with something I'm happy with. Any comments or critiques or helpful hints are greatly appreciated!

*Please note, the slots were not placed in any specific order, so please ignore that bit.

Theres no such thing as nonviable brute build. Well I guess there is, but in my experience its hard to make one...

Im not an expert on Elec/Elec, I have one at 50 but I havent really focused on tweaking him out....

1) Youre looking to add Defense to your build yet you havent added the Steadfast Unique. Find a spot for it...its 15Million uncrafted for the level 30 version or less. Id take two slots out of Grounded and put in the -KB and +3% there. Then do something else with Power Surge
2) Energize would definitely benefit more from Recharges than the Uniques you have in there....maybe 5 Doctored Wounds for the +5% to recharge? Focus on Recharge and Heal
3) Power Sink with 0 acc? Is that wise?
4) You dont need all those slots in Weave. Id go 3 slots with the three being +7.5%, Def, and Def/End. You get almost neglible benefits past those three (End/Rech? Really?)

Theres more I would do but Im not someone who would completely break down a build and put it together the way I would do it. Just want to tweak what you have....

I think Power Sink is auto hit.

Too many alts to list.

I'm not much for the idea of Defense-spec'ing an /Electric Brute, so I can't really say one thing or the other there, but just looking at your build, I've noticed a couple things:

1. I'd take a slot or two off of Stamina and add it to Power Sink. With even half decent slotting there, you'll be doing even better with Endurance, and draining enemies at the same time, making it more worth the investment.

2. I could justifiably see taking Charged Brawl and Havoc Punch, but if you're only going to go for one or the other, Charged Brawl is actually a slightly better attack.

3. As was mentioned above, having the various procs in Energize isn't helping you as much; you're better off slotting a Doctored Wounds set and maximizing the recharge you get along with the healing. Getting back to my first point, the Miracle +Recovery is probably more than you'll need as well. Regardless, you're better off moving the procs to Health.

4. Along similar lines to the previous point, you've wasted a lot of slots on Grounded, which really doesn't need them, and the best Enhancement in your build to stick in it, the +3% defense, is in Power Surge, which would probably be happier with a Recharge. Stick the Steadfast(s) in Grounded, and drop the other slots.

5. Take all those above-mentioned slots I advised dropping in several powers, and use them to boost up Boxing (you'll likely need it to fill in the occasional gaps in your attacks, so you might as well have it well), Power Sink (as mentioned above, this is a great power both offensively and defensively), and maybe add a couple extra recharges into Power Surge (for increased amounts of Happy-Funtime!).

Overall, he's definitely viable, but considering the money and effort it seems you want to put into twinking him out, there's still a bit of room for improvement.

On Stamina, if you go with the Perf Shifter Proc, End Mod, Acc/EndMod, and Rech/EndMod you get more total +recovery than with the slotting you are using now due to diminishing returns compared to kicking in the set bonuses.

I had to respec out of jacob's ladder as it was just too annoying to be rooted like that and it so rarely gets more than one person anyway. If it works for you then great, but why not slot another oblit into it? Oblit is heavier on the damage especially with a proc, and the extra endurance cost won't hurt you any.

On buildup, you can do better than just recharge. Rectified Reticle gives a defense bonus with the +Perception if you PvP. One of the others you can do tohit/Recharge and Recharge and get another 2% damage boost. I always forget which this is. Then, of course, there is six-slotting Gaussians for the best defense bonus in the whole of the IO realm. If you can pull the slots from elsewhere.

One option for boxing would be Kinetic Combat/Smashing Haymaker to only need 4 slots and still give you some useful defense.

In taunt, consider using a double or triple from a cheap taunt set.

In health use the Numina's Heal to go with the unique.

In stamina use 4 from performance shifter, you will get more end/sec than the slotting you are currently using. The bonus endurance is also very handy.

In weave use Luck of Gambler recharge/def, def, and def/end

In charged brawl and havok punch, and chain induction drop the Kinetic Combat proc. you don't need that last set bonus, and you can do better with either a level 50 Mako quad, a hammi o Acc/Damage or put all three slots into boxing and do 4 more kinetic combats there. Or stick all of them into the one you use the most and 6-slot with Touch of Death for very nearly the same S/L defense and significantly higher damage. Several options here but the S/L defense comes in at 4 out of 5 in the set, and I forget the 5th bonus, but it's no biggie by comparison to the defense.

On energize, you can pull out one slot, the final bonus for doctored wounds is just some toxic defense.

On PowerSink the proc only goes off when you trigger the power. You might want to look at trading out for the Efficiency Adapter set. In stamina the proc is awesome, In Powersink it is mediocre.

Edit: I forgot, Gloom is a very, very, very good attack if you can fit it in.

One minor adjustment. You get very little benefit from the fourth slot in Health, because the Heal improvement does not benefit you; it benefits only pure heal powers of the kinds wielded by corruptors, defenders, and controllers, or pool powers like Aid Self.

This gives us a free slot which I moved to Combat Jumping, in a way that allows you to make use of some beneficial IOs on a build that is going to cost this much:

For my electric armor brute, I use darkest night to stack on top of the defense bonus. The rest of the bonus can go to +recharge, hp and regen. I think this combination gives a pretty good boast to survival. If you're fighting mobs close to your level, endurance drain from power sink, lightning field and your attacks helps a bit as well.
