Not that I'm a vital part of this operation, but I'd like to get on one of the spike teams. Boss layed off half of the company, effectively doubling my workload (and halfing my gaming time 
), but I'ma start setting time aside for CoX. Should be there, barring any wierd preventative measures taken by RL.

Is anyone "farming"....crap, the real name of those insps escapes me...those special, save you from being manhandled by Hami insps? Oh, and I'll bring nukes.

Not only did I not get my brute up to snuff, I didn't get to log on 'til Sunday afternoon, thereby missing almost the whole double xp event and the relevant hami raid. Thanks due to RL and all the assorted suck-tastic events it throws my way to keep me on my toes. 
I'll do better next time, although I'm sure my absence went completely unnoticed.

OK, we had to call quits on this raid in the interest of keeping everyone's sanity. Here's the series of events leading to that decision...
1. Hami spawned after a handful of monsters so our EoE supply was low.
2. We were low on peeps to begin with. Barely making the requirements for each AT needed.
3. First bloom went smoothly, but then we lost a dom because he had to go.
4. Second bloom got really ugly as a result, during which we lost one of the raid leaders to a power outtage (Vega) and Sooner took over leadership for that team and held it together.
5. We had to have a couple people switch to doms to make up for the deficiency, but fact is, we were hovering between 30-35 people and we just needed more peeps.
6. We managed to push through the second bloom, though with much difficulty.
7. During the third bloom, we lost one of the brutes to a separate power outtage.
8. We made another attempt at the third bloom, took inventory of our remaining resources.
9. We had a consensus among the team leaders that a push to finish would be too costly.
So I think we'll stick to hero raids for a little while because that seems to attract more players (last hero raid the hive was full).

Speaking of... I hope we haven't given up on redside hami raids altogether =[[. There were at least 30 people (well.. characters) there for this one after all. I suspect if we had a few more eoe's per person, we coulda still punched through it (but I think the leaders did make the right call on this raid).
I almost consider it a badge of honor to be able to take down hami with less people =P
(I know this isn't really the place, but is anyone interested in trying to pull off a "speed" hami raid. Just a party trick where we unload nukes and temps to try to defeat hami through all his blooms? Ever since I heard the idea, I've always wanted to try =P)
Well, I chanced into two evacless raids on Virtue tonight. Fight ended in around 20 minutes and the group burned through Hami from 25% to 0.
Of course, they had a full raid.
Hamidon ponied up the protection infamy for the last few weeks, but he defaulted and now it's time to remind him who's in charge. Once more, we'll invade the Abyss to remind Hamidon to keep current.
Saturday, March 13th, 2 PM Pacific (3 PM Mountain, 4 PM Central, 5 PM Eastern).
KidEngineer will be leading the raid/coordinating the teams.
The other team leaders will be announced as they volunteer.
A few points to remember:
* The Abyss is restricted to level 45+ villains.
* The raid team leaders will use the Request channel to coordinate the teams. Please monitor the channel for instructions, but do not use it unless you are one of the raid team leaders
* It will hold 50 villains, if the Abyss fills up, do not leave the zone, there is no guarantee you'll get back into that instance.
* The Hamidon will spawn (bloom) 3 sets of Mitos at (75%, 50%, and 25%), in addition to the mitos that initially spawn with him.
* After Hamidon is defeated you will have the option of selecting 53 Reward Merits or a random Hamidon Origin Enhancement if you are level 47+.
