Merge...
I do like your idea though--I never completely understood why they were separate in the first place. Greater collaboration is always preferable, and there's no need for duplicated effort.

There are some advantages to keeping them separate (mostly to do with directing people to the correct version of the online store) but it should be possible to setup the EU version to mirror the content of the US version while keeping the links to the stores and such different for them.

Isn't the store run through the NC site anyway, and thus nothing really to do with the CoX site? As in, the CoX could be Icelandic for all it mattered, and the NC site would still charge you the right cash monies?
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

The NCstore checks against your IP address when you load it, so you are pointed toward the version appropriate for your IP. (Even if you are a Euro on the NA servers, or whatever else.)
While we're merging the forums and suggesting to merge the websites, let's merge the server list as well (so there's one list with 15 servers, not two lists of 11 and 4), so the NA and EU folk can play together as well as post and browse together.

I was staying off the servers as a whole, but I do agree to the list merge. That means you only need one game code, you dont have people getting stuck with buying the wrong code or add-on and not being able to apply it...all that jazz.
But the websites for definite. I was miffed finding the EU one was only half baked.

This gets my vote.
To be honest, I felt the EU site looked somewhat neater and sleeker than the US site, but in the end, the US site has way more information stored in it and I would choose that other perceptual enhancements.
I insanely agree on the server list merge, it would make it much easier to manage overall, even if the server list would have to be updated to let people know some servers are pre-dominantly French or German speaking.
And funnily enough, I was one of those people who confused the US version with the EU version when I first purchased the game, so essentially I have an unused account on CoH EU because I thought that the EU and US version were the same.

Hehe, I got you there, didn't I?
Nope, this is nothing to do with the servers or server lists.
This is to with the CityOf website. And how the EU and US side should be merged into one.
'Why?' you ask? For one very simple reason.
The US side is better than the EU one. It's laid out similar, yes. But it's also done better. Things like the 'Know your Enemy' lists are actually complete. Go look at the EU one. And then look at the US one. Heckuva difference.
Is this a big deal? Well, kind of. When people first get into the game, and they go to look at the website to look around, it would be nice to have something that's, y'know, actually finished. Not half-done. So, put them together, and any updates or New notices that are 'US only' can be labelled so, and any that are 'EU only' can also be labelle so.
Bonuses? Only one site to maintain, they might actually get the Server Status page to work properly, and the EU doesnt have to put up lower quality stuff. Again.
Thats all.
