This year, next year and every year since 1989.
Four day passes sold out first week of Nov '09. Saturday sold out around mid December. Friday sold out around first week of this month.
Hotels have been pay entirely in advance and no refunds for cancellations since I started looking back in August. I'm hoping my friends and I get lucky when the Con's travel agency opens in March.

The whole laptop dying and having to get another computer kinda put a kink in my plans to attend this year.
Hero-Con - Yes. . .Got money put aside.
Comic-Con - nope As it is now with Tweets and live streams, you can find out info very very quickly.
Does anyone know of any must see movies that might be previewed?

Here's a recent article about the possibility of the Con moving to another city. John Rodger, the president of the con, has been talking about possibly moving to Anaheim for a few years now. A lot of fans have been talking about going to Las Vegas.
The article says the Con's block of rooms has been nearly doubled (from 7,000 to 13,500) which is very good news

Las Vegas would be cool. Nomme's been wanting to see Cirque/visit there but we haven't been able to set aside time/money for the trip. But either way, unless they move to the east coast or something, I'm planning on going every year.

The Con's hotel reservation system opened up today. It took me 4 minutes to get through their system. Which, in a way is good, because in the past it has taken me 30-60 minutes to get through, the system is pounded so hard. But now I have to wait for an email to see what I get out of the 12 hotels I listed. I've got nothing to show for if their system crashed, which has me a bit worried.
So here's hoping. Good luck to anyone else trying today (but not better luck than me 
)

i've gone to comic con for the last 7 years, and after the last one, my brother and i decided that we would probably not go again. it's just too crazy. i like the pop culture aspect of it and all, but it really isnt much about comics anymore. we're debating on doing Wizard World Chicago, but even that might be a long shot. this year just isnt a good year for cons...
