Good Vs Evil Disk a question.

Over the weekend I went to a wholesale store and found that they were selling several GvE editions for 5.00 each. If I were to purchase them, would I be able to apply all the serial codes to my main account to get the 30 day "free" period? As you can well see, this would be very benefitial to purchase several.

Or are we only allowed one new CD "expansion" per account?

Thanks.

Yes, you get the 30 days and there's no limit to how many you can apply. This is only for the retail disks though. Codes bought from sites such as D2D are only for new accounts. In which case, it should say specifically on the game info page. Mind if I ask where you're getting them for 5 bucks a pop?

Actually, you can only have one of each CoH code. One CoH, one GvE, one CoV, one Collector's Edition, etc.

Tell you what. Petition and ask a CSR.

I think you upgrade your account with the serial code from the set, but I don't think you can upgrade your account more than once with the same 'expansion' set so to speak.

It's a good idea to contact a CRS regarding this though. Could you let us know the outcome? I am curious in case I come across a similar deal.

thanks for the insight, I will ask a CSR and then post my findings. And it was at a store in Texas that buys from companies that are going out of business and/or just getting rid of inventory. They had a lot of PC games at a great price. But yeah, they had at least 20 copies of the GvE edition, all unopened for $5.00 each. If you get 30 days for each activation code = no brainier.

Buy several of them, and you can sell them to others if it doesn't work out.

DJKyo has the right of it. This question comes up about once a month in the Players question section.

Edit: Here's an example where a person had CoV collectors edition and tried to apply a CoV regular edition to the account. It didn't work.

Well, I knew someone who said he worked at a gaming store who claimed to extend his account by using CoH codes. This was a few years ago too. So conclusion:
1. He was just BSing.
2. This was a relatively recent change.

I've also tried applying one of the extra GvE codes I have laying around. The results confirmed what Kyo and Stargeek said. I've also discovered that basic CoH retail codes (not CE, GvE, Mac, or Architect) cannot be applied to any running account and are for new accounts only (tried applying one to an account opened with GvE). What's annoying is, costume codes do not exhibit this behavior. I applied a costume code that the account already had back when they were giving them away on Twitter and the code took.
