Ninjas/Poison does it get any better?

I'm currently sitting on a level 26 Ninja/Poison Mastermind, and honestly, I don't think I care for it. One reason is that I don't feel like I do very much. I have every single Poison power available to me at this level and have avoided taking the Ninja bow attacks. The playstyle for this character is a mixture of boring & dying. What am I doing wrong? Did I just choose the wrong power combination? Do I need to take my MM bow attacks? Do some of these Toxin powers suck? What's skippable? Aaargh!

tbh. my Ninja/Poisin MM is sitting at lvl 17 and I share your feeling. I'm hoping things pick up once I get smoke bomb but it sounds like from your experience it doesn't get much better =/ Hopefully someone will show us the error of our ways, but most likely my MM is not going to be getting much play

From everything I've heard, yes. I've always heard it said that Ninjas are the worst henchmen to pair with /Poison. Ninjas really need a secondary that's good at keeping them alive long enough to deal out their rather nice damage ( like Dark or Storm for example ); Poison doesn't do that very well. Poison is best with Thugs, then Zombies, then Bots/Mercs, then Ninjas on the bottom.

As for skippable powers; Poison Trap is skippable ( much inferior to the /Traps version ), and I typically skip the rez. I like to take Antidote for the occasional Confuse user, and to stick a Steadfast -kb IO in. You really want Stamina at 20 with a /Poison.

I've found mine to be... challenging, now at level 30.

I'm also playing a Thugs/Pain MM and the difference is night and day.

I guess Ninja/Poison picks up a bit with Noxious Gas, which looks like an incredibly useful power, but still won't improve your bread and butter per-spawn performance.

I seem to rip through mobs on mine. I've really enjoyed the combo so far. Especially on those big single targets, like bosses.

But I can handle large spawns easy as well. I haven't died in probably 5 levels. Granted, I have to resummon my Genin constantly, which is quite annoying. But everything else runs smoothly.
