So here is what i came up with on my scrapper. I just finished most of it tonight but was thinking of grabbing a few purples later on and wanted some input. I have seen some nice templated but those were over 5 bill more than the 1.8 or so I spent on this guy.

1. The -kb steadfast in deflection is an absolute waste. You'd be better off either moving that slot elsewhere or just slotting a vanilla Dmg Res IO.
2. You have too much ranged defense (about 49%). You should swap out some of the Mako's to something else.
3. Psi resistance IO from Aegis is worthless as well. Swap with a Rech/Res. 3% Psi resistance is background noise since you can't stack it with something else.
4. Your character has bad DDR. No problem if you stay on a farm; a big problem if you want it to do more than just farming.
5. Stats are rather ordinary...not bad, not great. Probably taking some of those slots from ranged defense and using them for something will help. Much of this is probably budget constrained and will improve over time.
6. Lost opportunity by not slotting a Force Feedback proc in Thunderstrike.

FF was spot on, additionally I think your slotting of True Grit is a bit much. It requires no recharge or endurance so those enhancements are worthless, and the bonuses you gain past the first three in the set really aren't doing much for you. I'd keep your big three slotted there, then move your Steadfast unique there. Then you can throw a three slot of Aegis into Deflection instead of the Steadfasts.

Also, you could get by with just three slotting Battle Agility with the LoTG's and save you a slot. With that slot, and the ones you gained from reslotting True Grit you could throw some extra slots into your epic pool. Four slotting Char with Basilisks Gaze can get you some good bonuses. Melt armor is worthless IMHO, respec out of it and grab Fire Blast instead. As a ElM scrapper, I'm thinking you could fit it into your single target attack chain and it would work just as good if not better than most of your primaries. Plus, it's a great ranged attack that you can fire off on the runners who escape you LR+SC+FB hell you are unleashing.

Thanks for the replies. The only reason I went with the kb protection was to get a bit more from the set since I couldn't think of anything else. Would it be to my advantage to drop Deflection down to just 3-4 slots? DDR means defense debuff resistance right? I see the Steadfast I will try and rework and build in a bit diff. I went with this build as I was aiming for one build I saw off here but then realized the price of it. I still pieced together most of the sets so wanted to use those until I completly reworked it. Most the fire ones I have seen are way out of my range with purples for now but I hope to change that. Any ideas on a way to get in Steadfast and knock down some ranged while maybe upping the recharge and or keeping nice recovery? The farms I am running in AE keep me going non-stop so end drain is somewhat of a concern. Right now I pop a blue every now and then but it is not to bad. I see taking out of true grit some and maybe going into char or blast. Thanks again

Well, here's a fairly strong build I've used, not cheap, but no purples and uses most of the sets you showed having. I believe it accomplieshes what you were looking for, while mine will give you quite a bit more recovery and regeneration. Defense debuff is still a bit of a problem, so instead of traveling with blues, you'll need some purps to pop when those Cimorans hit you.

Doh, forgot to change the Aegis Psionic/Status Resistance to an Aegis R/E/R in Deflection. Doesn't do that much either way though.

Thanks for the suggestion and build. I have another few hours to go at work and then will get a quick look and compare. I really like the use with your mastery. I can't pull up mids where I am at but I am looking to see how much more recovery and regen you got. Thanks again.

Am I missing something with the ranged def? I looked on my char and it is spot on what my mids is showing me of 45.7. not in the 48 range. I look on my char and it shows that also.

Mid's has a bug. It doesn't properly calculate the 3.75% ranged def you get from Phalanx Fighting. If you have Phalanx Fighting in your build, add 3.75% to your ranged defense and that's what you'll have in game. There's also a way to edit the database manually to correct for this error.
