Anyhow, Im going to go with Grav/TA for my Controller.

That is if i can stop makin new Defenders ...Now im leveling a Frickin FF/Archery..

Making a power perma means you have the ability to always have it on. Yes, it's being nitpicky, but to put it another way, if you said you had a permadom, but really, that just meant that you were good enough to build up domination after it crashed in the time it took it to finish recharging, it isn't a permadom.

The other difficulty with AM and Hasten is that AM recharges slightly faster than hasten. So, come the second application, you'll be able to fire AM sooner than Hasten. I usually solve it by using double aspect IO's in AM (end/rech) and using generic recharge IO's in hasten so they have a similar recharge (after I've made sure both hasten and AM are truly perma).

Umm, sorry, but they're right Fire-Minded.

It is impossible to have perma AM and Hasten on SOs alone.

"Perma" means neither ever drop at all. Ever.

It means Hasten recharges within it's own duration. And AM recharges within it's own duration. No matter how vehemently you say it, the numbers prove you to be dead wrong. Not people's opinions that you disagree with. Cold, hard, inarguable FACT.

Good interesting choice. A great ranged tactical controller.

The first load of levels suck though, but once you hit the 20s it starts picking up. There's an elderly guide in my sig too [/shamelessplug]

It should be fun. After taking my Illusion/TA to 50, if I ever did another TA character, it would be Grav/TA. TA should fill some of the holes for AoE control in the Grav set. To get through those low levels, I suggest you get GD, Crush and Propel slotted up for damage as quickly as you can. I can see Flash Arrow being useful for this build.

It could be marginally useful, but nothing that a Stealth IO can't provide too. As with more things it's down to what is available in it's stead I suppose (PGA in my case).

One somewhat overlooked APP with Grav/TA is Primal. I get a lot of use from Conserve Power (my Grav/TA is actually staminaless as he was my first IO character, lots of 2 piece Recovery set bonuses) and Power Boost (absolutely sick with EMP Arrow but works well with the other controls too) and the AOE Cone will light up your oil slick and is knockdown, not knockback. For someone like me who gets irked by powers not suiting concept it worked much better than Fire.

I still mostly use the (keybound) Tech Taser to light slicks though, the animation always makes me smile.

TA's a fun set. I have a Fire/TA controller in the late 30s. It's an odd build, in that it doesn't have Hot Feet at all and stays at range at all times, but it's a fun one, and that's all that really matters.

As a couple other people said, TA helps shore up the relative lack of control in Gravity. Entangling Arrow even has a use...it sets up Containment for your first damaging attack (Propel most likely) that hits your target.
