SS/Invul or SS/WP

I want a brute for PVP, but cant decide if SS/Invul or SS/WP is better.

What do you guys think?

if u think both suck what do you like?

SS/Inv is probably the best brute pairing you can have.

Dull Pain + Aid Self makes it godly. Plus high resists, amazing +tohit, and the most damaging brute primary help considerably.

Please use the forums though:

Click on "Search"
Then click on "advanced search"
In the keywords type "ss/inv" or something along those lines.
Change the search from "Search Entire Posts" to "Search Titles Only"
In the bottom left, in the "Search in Forum(s)" section select "Player vs Player"
Click "Search"

You now have the answer to all of your questions. If you have a very specific question then by all means make a thread. But SS Brutes are a very common conversational topic and there is a lot of advice out there on how to build them.

As far as defensively, Inv is a beast. You have high res, moderate def, a +hp/heal power and decent protection against slows and end drain. WP is basically just a big bag of HP with no heal unless you pick up aid self, which quite honestly sucks. Its major advantage (rttc) was nerfed to hell in i13. WP is tough, but I'd pick inv over wp. Only thing that kind of sucks about inv is its a very tight build.

If you want something thats a little more squishy, but can deal more damage and has a great self heal, go with ss/fire.

fire is only squishier than ss/inv if you dont take phase.
the recharge on healing flames synergizes very very well with phase.
invuln can't reset 100% with a phase (dull pain's recharge is way too long).

Agreed, my fire/ss has phase with about 2750 HP. I rarely die unless a coordinated team gets the drop on me with some massive burst damage or phase isn't up. Outside of phase wp and especially inv can take more damage than my fire ever could.

Fire is definitely the way to go, but a lot of people seem to have trouble playing fire tanks and brutes for some reason and would rather go with inv or wp because they "feel" more sturdy.

Then again those same people usually end up rolling regins.
