Stealth and defense

I was thinking of adding a little defense to a toon and thought of picking up Stealth. I notice it says you lose "a little" of the defense when attacking. Anyone know how much you lose?

IIRC, it's half of the full value when supressed.

Ditto, Mr. Thorne.

I've made that mistake. Don't slot that thing for def. But you can throw a unique in there to get your -kb, etc. That won't supress. Or, if you have too many slots somehow, you could work toward a set bonus in it.

ETA: OH, the def will be there if you are hit by the splash of an AoE not aimed at you, but once you're hurt, it's all gone.

While suppressed, the Defense granted from [Stealth] is equal to the Defense granted by [Combat Jumping] or [Hover]. (While not suppressed, Stealth has twice the Defense of CJ or Hover)

So, it's not that much, but it is something.

Thanks all.

No no no, pick up Stealth if you want stealth, since the defense is not really worth the end cost. Combat Jumping and Hover are equal to the suppressed defense of it, while it has a much higher endurance cost than either of them. Stealth will also make you move slower while it is active.

If you want a little bit of defense and (apparently) have a free power pick, take Maneuvers. It will never suppress, gives you about the same defense as unsuppressed Stealth, and as a bonus grants that defense to your teammates as well.

(Disregard if you already have Maneuvers)
