Contacts with Looping Missions

Well, I got on the other night and pulled out my level 50 Blaster (my favorite toon to play). One of my mish/contacts which I believe was General Hammond in Firebase Zulu, seems to have missions that are "looping" meaning the story arc or the missions never end and will constantly repeat. I have also noticed this with the contact in Cimerora with Marcus Valerius. I've got him as a contact with "looping" missions with no story end. Now, last night, I started up with Borea in the RWZ. She's giving me missions that are pretty much the same missions. I haven't filled her bar out completely so I am not sure if there is an "end" to her content of missions? I also have another one in Warburg, Warzone Agent Goddard. I believe this is the one that has the rocket you can elect to launch. The majority of those missions are repeating missions.

And lets not forget Meg Mason from the Hollows. Lord knows I've been on a few of her "forever" "looping" missions and just got sick of them because I didn't have full travel powers yet and getting around in the Hollows can be tricky in the early stages.

So, with all that being said, the first thing I want to know is what is the sole purpose for having contacts that give "looping" repeating missions with no end to their story? As we all know, the majority of contacts will give an "end" to their story arcs or their missions. At the end you normally get a Merit Award and maybe some extra influence. Were these contacts added to give people the opportunity to earn more drops and influence when their other contacts have dried up? If someone can shed some light on this that would be great.

These contacts are for giving endless missions in zones that don't do the Radio missions. That's it.

Orc&Pie No.53230 There is an orc, and somehow, he got a pie. And you are hungry.

Negaduck: I see you found the crumb. I knew you'd never notice the huge flag.

His missions have nothing to do with the rocket. To get a rocket you have to rescue three scientists from inside the WEB (in the open zone). Each one gives you a code segment, and when you get three you can get a launch code for a payload type of your choice. You can then go launch that into orbit, explaining why you can call down a nuke later.

It's so people who have run all the content have a way to get instanced missions that aren't paper/scanner missions. I don't really quite understand the Hollows contact in that light, but that's the reasoning behind them all in general.

Here's a list of contacts with repeatable missions. Another feature is that the repeatable missions always feature the zone enemies and give predictable rewards.

So, if you like fighting Cimeroran Traitors for arcane salvage, talk to Marcus Valerius, or Rikti for the XP bonus (Borea) or Rularuu for Kora Fruit (Dr. Huxley).
