BEST PVP build for stalkers?!

Just so I have this right in my head, generally speaking the ranks go as follows:

Scrapper: Fire, BS (Fire for sustainable dmg & BS for Spike)
Not sure what follows these 2

Stalker: Elec, EM, Spines in that order?

Blaster: Fire, Psy, Rad in that order?

Corr: ? No clue Sonics?

Tanks: Fire and SS

Brutes: Same?

Is there a Best to worst for AT's power sets floating around out there? If so could someone point me in that direction. I'd be happy to go and read it for myself or if ya'll want to impart ya'lls knowledge here, I'm all ears. . .err, Eyes

the one that says sr works is the real divine, not -divine.

Blaster: Psy, Sonic, Fire, Rad

Corr: Sonic, Rad, Fire...

Tanks: SS, EM. (Fire is too AOE centric).

Brutes: SS, EM, Fire (not so AoE centric.)
my take on that list.

There was a thread a while back with all the ATs listed in tiers. Blasters were #1.

Thank you Sir, I appreciate the info. Now what about secondaries for those Sets? Also, I ran into a Bane and he was dishing out hella killz and was hard to take down. What's your take on Bane Spiders?

Secondaries (in no order):

Scrapper: Regen

Stalker: Regen, WP, Nin

Blaster: EM, MM

Corr: Therm, Cold, Rad, Pain, TA

Tanks (primary): Fire, Inv, Shield

Brutes: Inv, Fire, EA (when paired with DM)

My perspective is as follows:

Scrapper: Fire, BS
Scrapper Secondary: Regen

Stalker: Elec, Spines, DM/EM
Stalker Secondary: WP, Regen, Nin

Blaster: Psy, Sonic/Fire, Rad
Blaster Secondary: EM, MM

Corr: Sonic, Fire/Rad
Corr Secondary: Therm, Cold

Tanks: SS, EM
Tanks Secondary: Fire, Inv

Brutes: SS, EM
Brutes Secondary: Inv, Fire

That being said, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the above. Although there are few that stands out above others, i.e. Psy blaster

Do Psy/EM Doms enter into the equation for PvP?

At this point, elec tanks are better than any of the secondaries you listed.

Ahh, you got a point there...forgot about elec secondary. After the change to elec, I thought about rolling one, but never got around to it. By the way, does that apply to Brutes as well or just for tanks?

Psy/EM dom? Not sure what you mean.

Forgot to include dom on the list: my preference is for mind/fire

I didn't ask about Doms, just because I never see them in PvP. I just asked an off the wall question about Doms. I figured since Psy/EM blaster was Tops for blasters, then a Psy/Dom should be decent, albiet I am very unschooled in PvP, which is why I asked.

Both.

Elec, when well built is retardedly powerful. it's just an expensive build.

So Elec secondary on a Brute and Primary for a Tank are very good, correct? Paired with what Primaries? SS, Fire, EM?

There's no Psy/EM power choices for Dominators...that's what buffled me. As stated before, Mind/Fire is probably considered one of the better dom options.

One suggestion Ghost Ripper, you might want to start asking one level deeper, for example, why is Psy/EM blaster considered one of the best blaster, actually one of the best pvp toon on hero side...you might learn more that way.

What are the must haves from Elec Armor set? I am assuming you have to take 3 shields, Lightning Reflexes (cheap recharge), and Energize (self heal). Is Power Sink and Power Surge considered a must have?

I have an old toon, lvl 38 EM/Elec brute, that I might get upto 50. I would have prefered SS/Elec, but don't want to roll one if I don't have to.

Ok so why IS Psy/EM blaster considered one of the best PvP toons? From what I've seen in RV (disclaimer: Not a lot, still rookie) all the AT's are either Corrs, Some Brutes and Tanks, and lots and lots of Stalkers/Scrappers. Very, Very few Blasters that I've seen, and they get nailed right away when they appear too, so thinking BLASTER=TARGET

The reason you see lots of melee ATs in PvP zones is because the I13 changes penalize you for playing squishies (heal decay, travel suppression, DR, etc.).

Psi/EM is good because the projectile speed of the attacks means if you have the right attack chain you can essentially have 3 attacks' worth of damage hit the target at the same time, you can slot the broken placate proc in Will Dom, and you get Boost Range.

What does Placate proc do, why is it broken?

It placates your target.

It also hits every single time.

Just to add what Lith stated. Basically you loose targeting on a target for few seconds. In the meantime, you are getting attacked. The proc is supposed to work on a percentage basis, but right now it's at 100%.
