These two clauses are mutually exclusive. If anything is good in this version of PvP it'll be nerfed.

Two other options for me are a dark/cold corr and mind/fire dom
ice blasters thought that too at one time..
sonic em over fire if your not going to go psi.
mind fire or fire fire dom
or you could be different and play a sonic kin cor.
Damage - Psi/Em Sonic/Em
Support - Ill/Emp Sonic/Pain or Emp/Sonic. While Emp defenders have stronger heal mods, controllers can use power boost twice as often.
Disruption Fire/SS/Mace Elec/SS/Mace brutes, Grav/TA Ice/Cold Grav/Kin Grav/FF Controllers.
VEAT's play a specialized role in disrupting stalkers.
If you want to try and stalk. Elec/ WP, Regen or Nin can work.
I think Rad/Son/Psi can still be used decently well to set up a spike and defender TK is nice.
Sonic/Therm corr to me is one of the better hybrid toons in that Thaw is a great buff when dealing with a cold, the ST heal can help out if an emp calls out they happened to be caged during a spike. Melt Armor can aid in a spike as well as being on target to launch a few quick attacks, and HE can cause some disruption in some cases.

The downside to therms are the sheilds are not as great as they used to be (but allow for easy kb res slotting and +hp) - thaw roots..and I hate that..
Pluses are (as said) HE and Melt Armor - allows you to play a more aggressive toon than just a buffer or debuffer -

i remember hitting aim, bu, TF, blaze and killing any squishy without energy or fire resists.
it takes two attack chains to solo kill a retarded squishy in the current system (no hp accos, etc). TWICE AS MUCH BUTTON MASHING.
in a basic, zone pvp enviroment, blasters got nerfed to the point half of the retards that used to roll around in fire/em's are running around in regin scrappers (note, they weren't replaced by psi/ems).
yeah, in zone heal suppression and ts make things different, but in my experience, TS is so mf horrid that it keeps me from getting kills as often as HD gets me killed (and that's a lot, coming me, oh great snorter greens).
the arena is a bit different. 10 mins in close quarters = ample time to leverage near static resists on squishies. the dps spam has little to do with the amount of damage blasters do, it has to do with the defensive capabilities of a squishy. right now, there's three ways to consistently deal with a high dps opponent: out dps it, debuff it or heal the damage as fast as it comes.
the dr cap on squishy resists and the new mez system are the culprits. it's not psi/em damage that is borked, it's the fact that in a 1v1 situation break frees are ornamental, and sturdies give you a shieldy looking aura and nothing more. the main two ways in which experienced players dealt with the ultra-high dps of i12 blaster is gone. i used to be able to pop 4 sturdies at the beginning of a match on my ice/psi, slow a fire/em to a crawl, torture it for 5 mins, then spend the next 5 mins farming it. now the nerfed dps of a blaster, being less that it was, but better than that other squishies, is king because of the system. not because they's be op liek tree faling on forst eld h house.
complaining about psi/em damage is either a sign that you're retarded and don't understand the system enough to know that the problem is not the damage, but the system itself or that you're just really sore after getting molested by chris or some other random psi/em on freedom.
I need 1 hero or villain for arena pvp. All of my main toons are melee, so no melee. Suggestions? I need something top tier, and less likely to be nerfed. Elec/therm isn't really an option for me.
