Does CityBinder for Macs exist?

I am sorry if this is a silly question, I am still stumbling around figurung out how to place text files in various folders on a Mac.

By any chance is there currently an executable GUI driven version of Citybinder available for Macs?

Thank you for taking the time to help me!

I know nothing about Macs . . . but I have been using Citybinder for a long time. Unfortunately, the author left the game, and someone who picked up where the author left off appears to have also left the game. The last few powersets to have been proliferated have not been added in.

So, if it takes any programming to make it work on the Mac, I doubt any of that work has been done.

CityBinder has source code available on Sourceforge, but it hasn't been updated in over 2 years. I wouldn't count on it being ported to Mac, or even continuing to work on more recent Windows versions.

That said, it's easy enough to create binds yourself. Set them up in-game, save it to a default file (from Options > Keymapping in-game) and then load it on each character.

Thanks... I specifically am trying to use the wonderful "Speed on Demand" functionality. I would like to always Hover when standing still, and Fly when in motion. This is a breeze using CityBinder.
One option I have considered is directly cutting and pasting... copying the "c:\COH" folder ( JUST .txt files...my binds) from my WindowsXP install directly to ( hold on, finding quote from Redlynne...)

Quote:
In your Macintosh HD drive, go to Applications.
Inside of Applications, right click on City of Heroes and choose Show Package Contents. This will open up a new window for you that contains a Contents folder.

The next step is to "drill down" through the Contents folder directory structure to reach the c_drive folder. The path through the directories to follow is:
Contents >> Resources >> transgaming >> c_drive
Then enabling them in game using "/bindloadfile C:\CoH\bindname.txt" for the various bind names...

am I dreaming or would that possibly work?

You can actually load bind files from your user folder from inside CoH, there's no need to even copy them to the coh folder. There are instructions in my guide (linked in the signature):

Loading Bind Files

The City of Heroes Mac client has a "D" drive mapped to the location of your current Home folder on the Mac. Placing your bind file there will allow you to load it directly from inside the game:

1. Place a bind file, such as "binds.txt", in your Home folder.

2. In-game, type "/bindloadfile d:/binds.txt" and press Return.

3. Your binds are now available!
