Do No Harm - An Arc Swap Thread
Try my "Waddle's Revenge", arc 302196, since you've told me you've played "PENGUIN" and "Hammer and Sickle of Paragon City" already. Rate as you see honest and fit.
I'll be PMing you momentarily regarding "In Pursuit of Liberty." REALLY good stuff in that arc!

Just finished the "In Pursuit of Liberty" mission. Overall, I thought it was a well-designed and entertaining arc. I enjoyed the story and thought it was well written. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
As far as my story is concerned, I'd like you to play through "Reaffirmation!" by Zauberi. It is Arc ID# 369506.
Plot: You're a depressed superhero who happens upon a woman about to commit suicide. After talking her down, you find that she's at the end of her rope - attempting to take care of her younger brother following her father's recent death. The younger brother has fallen in with some bad characters and she needs your help in talking to him and for her own protection. Revive your spirits via gang-busting action as you rescue damsels in distress, fight dastardly criminals and take down a gang-leader! As an added bonus, you get to help in the creation of a new hero!
Length: 5 missions
Difficulty: Moderate to high
Levels: 1-54
Morality: Neutral (leans to good)

What I liked best: The customs were very well-balanced and fun for me to fight. The story kept my interest. In short the arc was fun for me all the way through.

In return I'd like you to play my most recent arc which is named "Arrest your ex-girlfriend" and is arc #377988.
This is supposed to be somewhat humorous, however more importantly it has a plot and (in my opinion) good dialogue.
This may not be the best of the arcs I've created, and I love ALL of my arcs as if they were my children, however this is my most recent creation and I usually favor my most recent creations over the older ones.
I liked your arc. It actually had a plot and dialogue. So many AE arcs don't have anything like that. You obviously put a lot of time and effort into this. I gave it five stars.
Please play "Arrest your girlfriend", arc #377988 and let me know what you think and hopefully give it five stars.
First of all, sorry for the delay. I noticed your comment on my arc a while ago but haven't gotten around to playing yours until recently. I've left a comment for you on the MA comment system - not a bad arc at all. I also played your Suppression arc and left a comment for that one, too. If you want the full review (it's just my personal opinion, though), feel free to PM me.
The Golden Scepter
Author: @Mystic Fortune
ID: 9852
Length: 4 missions
Difficulty: moderate to high
Level: 35-54
Morality: Heroic
Plot: The contact is Mystic Fortune, though in the arc he is referred to as the "Mysterious Traveller" and/or "The Watcher". He starts off by asking you to retrieve a recently unearthed artifact (The Golden Scepter) which is discovered by Doc Delilah. The scepter has unimaginable power, and he wishes to banish it from your world before it can fall into the wrong hands. Before long his attempt to banish the scepter backfires, and his mind is ripped apart. From there you must assist the Mysterious Traveller in regaining control over his mind, so that he may track down the Scepter once more. All the while battling the demon Pathos and his Brimstone Legion.

All I ask is that you be honest, the current rating is 5 stars. If you feel it doesn't deserve a 5 star rating, please explain why.

What I liked best: This is hard to pick. It was well-written and visually stunning, but I would have to say the customs because they are among the best I have seen.

When I created my first MA arc, I had no idea what a challenge it would be. I played so many arcs that were really bad that I assumed getting 5 star ratings would be easy. How wrong I was!
My original goal was to create a Hall of Fame Arc, but in today's MA environment that is unlikely, especially with my arc topic. So my current goal with this thread, is to get as many plays as possible for my arc from people who might actually like it and have fun.
In return for playing my arc, I will play yours.
My rules for the thread are as follows.
- My arc is about time travel, and while it is not really an origin story in the traditional sense, it is about you helping someone find her origin. So if you hate time travel or do not care for origin stories of any sort, please do not play my arc.
- This arc was at 5 stars before it was griefed by an unknown player who left no comment. I would like to regain that rating. I am most definately not requesting that you 5 star an arc that you don't feel deserves it, but I would prefer that if you don't feel it deserves 5 stars, that you not rate it and instead PM as to what you found lacking.
- In return for playing my arc and sending me a PM about what you liked or what you feel needs to change, I will play your arc. This is where the "do no harm" comes in. I will not rate your arc any lower than the current in-game rating. If I cannot rate it at least as high as the current rating, I will not rate it at all and I will PM you with the reason. If your goal is 5 stars, tell me and I will not rate your arc unless I feel it deserves 5 stars.
So in short:
- Play my arc: In Pursuit of Liberty - 344916 @Gypsy Rose and rate or not as specified above. Send me an in-game comment on the arc.
- After playing my arc, post your arc Name, ID and author here and specify if your goal is only 5 star ratings.
- I will play your arc and rate or at least comment as specified and post in this thread what I liked best about your arc. I will not post anything negative about your arc here, nor will I rate it below its current rating. Hence I will "do no harm".
My criteria for rating 5 stars for arcs submitted here is as follows:
- Your arc must either have some plot I can follow or be somewhat funny.
- There must be text that I can understand in the mission introduction, send-off, still busy and return success dialogs.
- Your contact must have a bio.
- I must be able to complete the arc on easy settings without extreme frustration. If I repeatedly die because your villains are so extreme or spend hours on a kill all or looking for a glowie I will only 5 star your arc if it is otherwise awesome.
If you have any questions about my arc or this thread, feel free to PM me.
Enjoy
