The mood for this Friday is still forming...but the feel seems to be leaning towards a Manticor or a Dr. Khan.

I'd like like to see them at 50, but i have a feeling that they feel a lot like rularuu.
speaking of. There was some talk about doing a "big" shadow shard TF. Something that might not finish in just one night. Anyway if we were to approach something of that magnitude we'd need to be more prepared than normal as far as team balance and availability etc etc. The minimum to start (and minimum spawn size) is 8 for those TF's.
I have two characters that can do the shard TF's PB and 'Shakes. PB is a plant/radiation controller who I have taken on most of these TF's. Shakes is my sonic/NRG blaster who i brought over from triumph. Neither have faced the shard so i can't give you an accounting of their strength. I think that damage will be easy to come by in forming this TF so i'll be working on improving PB and testing her against some shard critters soon (TM) PB can do some healing but is better suited to putting end into rad debuffs and holds.
Other things we will need...
Healer.
Tanker.
Damager.
Teleporter. (recall friend, or similar quick reuse teleport)

I agree, we'll definitely have to make sure we have the proper ATs when we do these. And we no longer need a person with TP friend since we can purchase flight packs in the Shard.

Isn't one of them 8-10 hours long or something? I did the "short" SS TF back in the day (I forget which) and it seemed to last forever. The final boss fight alone lasted longer than any of the TFs we've been on to date.
I have so many characters that I'm fine with parking one for a week, doing part 1 on one Friday and part 2 the following Friday. And if we're talking about level 50 characters, I hardly ever play those anyway, so they're double-parked. Heh.

pretty sure PB sports recall. it is easy to get scattered during some missions (like the clickies in augustine IIRC) I think that some of the TF's will be a lot quicker than they were with some of the additions they've made in the last issue and particularly some of the vet rewards that have come out since the shard TF's inception.
to further planning...who wants to do one? we can figure out availability and similar later.

I think then we can move this part of the thread to the virtue board and do the rest of the planning there.

EDIT: PB doesn't sport recall, the Warshade does.
EDIT#2: OOPS! I forgot, Johnny isn't going to be around until later in the evening. But we can still hop on vent and discuss it.

Alright, I am now confuzzled! 
Tomorrow, we will do the Dr.Khan. The dress code is for everyone to dress up as a classic video game character, as suggested by CR. The time will be 5pm pacific time.
Next Friday, the mood will be one of the Shard TFs. So we'll have a week to get our acts together.

Okay, I have used my lunch hour to remake Tommi Gunn as Lara Croft. She's one of my oldest characters, so she's not Dual Pistols but rather Assault Rifle. Close enough.
Dr. Kahn is located in Founders Falls just across from the Vanguard building. An easy hop once you get off the train.

Person #8 will be Lounge Crooner giving a thumbs up for the snapshot. Sadly, LC isn't high enough yet for Shard TFs.

Debated between Link (of Zelda) and Morrigan (of Darkstalkers)..
Finally decided on Morrigan, but the costume is still a work in progress...
