AE Suggestion: Higher contrast on text fields

Good morning:

As a 37 yr old who's worn glasses since he was 8, I'm rather used to them. I'm also used to my "needs" when it comes to writing documents and whatnot. For instance, I tend to the "Wordperfect 6.0" color schema for editing, for most pleasing contrast when editing in EditPad or other text editors. With this utility, I'm able to adjust the background color, the text color and the font used. This gives me the ability to tailor the text editor to my visual needs.

Working with Architect can be a struggle in the text fields. The text isn't exactly ClearType. The pale green is set on a darker green background (not the best contrast), and due to the text size it tends to get a lot of bleedover between characters, even on a high end display. Working with the editor, simply put, gives me eye strain for longer than 40 minutes of actual sit-down work.

My request: I'd like the ability to choose between a variety of pre-designed palettes, adjusting it to what matches my visual needs/aesthetics, or, preferably, the ability to determine the colors used in the text fields as a while, from font and background colors, to (hopefully) text sizing and font selection, even from a small pool of "authorized" fonts, like Times New Roman, Courier, Arial, etc.

Thanks for reading.

(...now, if there's a way to DO this right now, please let me know immediately and I'll make the changes post-haste. XD)

It'd be nice if they also stopped the text-boxes, Character ID ones including, acting crazy whenever you attempt to use the mouse on it. It's been that way since I14.

That would be more of a fix than a suggestion, but I agree wholeheartedly.

I approve of this suggestion. I think this would make the architect considerably more user-friendly.
