Way overslotted on RPD.
You're underslotted on all of your attacks.
Swift is way overslotted.
Health is overslotted.
You don't have enough of what you're trying to put into DP to let me make a decent suggestion. Looks overslotted.
Stamina is overslotted.
Fly is overslotted and it's a waste to put a stealth proc in it.
Conserve Power and Hasten are underslotted.

The frankenslotting is doing little for you..

As for your defenses and resists? Cant' tell, not enough info. Looks like too much in some places though.

What are you trying to go for? Defense cap? Max HP/Regen? What?

Right now with what you have slotted in there, you're getting very little real benefit from set bonuses, compared to a straight common-IO build.

Compare to this:

If this is a leveling build, IMO your biggest problem is power selection. There are 4 "must have" powers in Invul, and you've delayed 3 of them well past when you could--and should--take them.

Specifically, Temp Invul, Dull Pain and Unyielding should all be taken as soon as they're available or very shortly thereafter. The three resistance passives (RPD, ResEn, ResEl) can be delayed until the 20s or even 30s. Also, Dull Pain needs to be slotted equally with Recharge and Heal; currently it's underslotted for Recharge.

And as Hyperstrike noted, your almost all of your attacks are underslotted. IMO, a good general guideline is to assume 5 slots for each attack, attacks you seldom use can get away with 4, and if you have the slots, consider 6-slotting the heavy hitters like Foot Stomp and KoB. Haymaker currently has 6 slots but is still poorly slotted, there's no accuracy enhancement and the KB set IOs are likely to turn its KD into KB. (Not good for a Invul tank that is dependent on having mobs in melee range for additional defense.)

Because of the diminishing returns imposed by ED, it is rarely desirable to alot more than 4 slots to defense and resistance toggles. Passives like RPD, ResEn and ResEl in Invul, as well as Health and Stamina only need three slots unless you're slotting for a specific set bonus.

If you want to increase defense, it is very important to look for good typed defense bonuses; sets that are primarily designed to provide positional bonuses will have smaller usable bonuses and cost more slots. Among the sets you have slotted, Kinetic Combat and Eradication are both good choices for typed defense bonuses, Mako's Bite and Titanium Coating are not.

I recommend that you look in the tanker guide section for Call_Me_Awesome's guides. He has one on Invul in the first twenty levels and one on soft-capping Invul, both of which you should find quite helpful.

Personally i don't think your build is any better except for the fact that you have 10 purples slotted and i dont really have anything over slotted and finduilas this isnt how i choose my powers but it is my exact build i did the mids after he got to 50. So for the love of god, please think before we act ok?

Uhm.. let's see. You asked for advice... they gave advice... you've snarked at their advice.... Nothing says you have to agree with the advice, but it hasn't been bad so far... To quote you " please think before we act ok?"; maybe you should also apply it to yourself.

As Finduilas mentioned Call Me Awesome's guilds to Invulnerability: The first 20 lvls, and The Defensive Soft cap are worth while reading and will help you greatly with this build. You're slotting seems quite odd and I agree with both Finduilas and Hyperstrike that you've overslotted quite a few things and underslotted your attacks....

In the end it's your toon. Play it how you will.

As always, your mileage may vary...

I won't jump down your throat, but don't bite the hand that feeds you.

Now, onto your original build.

-I would strongly recommend you rethink your power selection order. If you ever do exemplar below level 25, you will miss your mez protection.

-Not sure why you didn't pick up the 4th IO for 3.75% defense in Punch.
-Slotting for resistance values (like using Kinetic Crash) isn't the best option. This is because the resistance set bonuses are just awful.
-Slotting End/Rech in rage will not help the rage crash. It saves you about 1 endurance total. I'd rather have more to-hit or recharge out of it.
-I'm guessing those slots in sprint are just extras you'll be reassigning later. The same with stamina.
-LOTG End/Rech is the one IO I wouldn't use in a defense toggle. If I 4 slotted with LOTG, I'd use 7.5, Def, Def/End, Def/End/Rech.
-Footstomp deserves 6 slots. You can keep eradication if you use the the quad, triple, dam/rech and acc/rech, or replace one of the doubles with the proc and use the oblit quad and triple. The numbers you'll get from that slotting will ensure you get as much from it as you can. Alternatively, consider Force Feedback: Chance for Recharge in footstomp.
-A lot of what I'd advise, like slotting stamina with performance shifter is already in Hyperstrike's build. You don't have to like those power selections, but do take note about IO sets and various things in that build.
-Oh, don't forget a steadfast 3% defense IO.

Hyperstrike's Build:

-Overall is trying to point you in a good direction. It still would benefit from some tweaking, but it is an excellent starting point (Hyperstrike has done the majority of the work for you)
-Offers 42% S/L defense without invincibility (with 1 mob in range you're past the softcap)
-Could probably benefit from more Nrg/Neg defense. One could use 3 thunderstrikes instead of the purples in laser-beam eyes, plus the devastation triple/quad for 12% regen, 2.5% more def, and 2% more recov.
-Footstomp looooves FF Chance for Rech. If you don't want to spend the money on purples, use 5 obliterations.
-Rage is already perma. If you wanted, 2 rectified recticle and 1 rech IO would still be perma with hasten, plus you get another 1.88% melee def.
-You actually get better regen numbers from a numina heal over a regenerative tissue unique in the third slot. (that's a lvl 30 numi, too)

My suggestions:

1) For hard-hitting melee attacks, consider 6 slotting using these IOs:
4 Kinetic Combats (excluding the proc), and Mako's Quad and Triple (Acc/Dam/End/Rech and Acc/End/Rech) for excellent modifiers. Or do something similar to what Hyperstrike did for more regen.
2) Picking up the fighting pool drastically increases survivability.

Are you trying for a Superman build here, Siefro?

Your original post said nothing about whether this was a leveling build or respec build. If I had known it was a proposed respec my response would have been slightly different, but I would still have recommended that you take TI, DP, and UY earlier in case you ever want to exempt.

Nothing overslotted? 6 slots in a passive that has only one characteristic that can be enhanced? 6 slotting a low endurance toggle like Invinc when 4 slots would be more than adequate? As I mentioned in my earlier post, sometimes it's justifiable to use more slots than you need if it gets you a really terrific set bonus, but IMO there was no evidence of that in the posted build.

As others have said, you asked for advice and Hyper and I gave it our best effort. In the future, I'd suggest you learn to take advice in the spirit that it was given, or just stop asking for advice if getting answers you don't like bothers you so much.

Invulnerability is a very nice tanker set that is so easy to get above softcap that it almost feels like cheating. The trick here is remember the enormous defense bonus you get from invincibility, especially in a herd. This quick build that I made had so many extra slots that I just started dropping them in random places just to suck up more bonuses.

I use a similar brute build (brutes require a bit more work to softcap than tanks) that is pretty much untouchable to everything but psi. Not much you can do there, of course; psi is invulerability's nemesis.

He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.

Sorry I didn't get back to this sooner.

1: I'm currently running this build sans-purples. So the two powers in question are slotted Acc, Dmg x3, EndRed.

2: It's a planned build that retains defense capping down to about L30. This is why the IOs are not all max-value.

3: The build is better. It's defense capped for S/L, it's also Resistance capped for them as well. It's built for perma-rage. And it has Conserve Power up for long fights, though pacing your attacks will prevent end crashes as well. Also, if you DO happen to be hurt, you have DP pretty much universally available.

Compare it to your build in Mids. Look at the Totals tab.

4: It's not meant to be some godawful damage output monster. It's meant to basically just be as survivable as possible against large + Level mobs.

5: By overslotted, it means you have way too many enhancement slots dedicated to a power and can achieve maximal results with fewer slots.

In a couple of your powers, you have 6-slotted defenses. Most of that is going to be taking you beyond caps for the primary (defense or resist) and wasting slots for just end redux or recharge is pointless (as the armors should never come down).

6: Your BIG end eaters are NOT your armors. They're your attacks. This is where you'll benefit far more from endredux.

Note: If leaping isn't your "thing", I'm in the process of rebuilding the primary build (the one with all the purples) into a flight-oriented version of this build.

Thank you. I'm aware that the build has rough edges. They're edges that don't really make an appreciable difference in my play, so I can usually ignore them.

Quote:
-Could probably benefit from more Nrg/Neg defense. One could use 3 thunderstrikes instead of the purples in laser-beam eyes, plus the devastation triple/quad for 12% regen, 2.5% more def, and 2% more recov.
Yeah, I've been thinking of that. As I said in the above post, all that's there right now are common IOs.

Quote:
-Footstomp looooves FF Chance for Rech. If you don't want to spend the money on purples, use 5 obliterations.
I had that in my primary build (one of Vox Populi's "Super Tanker" builds). I never really noticed it going off enough to make a difference.

Quote:
-Rage is already perma. If you wanted, 2 rectified recticle and 1 rech IO would still be perma with hasten, plus you get another 1.88% melee def.
No really sure that'd actually get me anything appreciable, as the overwhelming majority of melee-range attacks have an S/L component already.

-You actually get better regen numbers from a numina heal over a regenerative tissue unique in the third slot. (that's a lvl 30 numi, too)
Hmm. Interesting, but to be honest, most of the time I'm being hit so little, that what little damage makes it through the resistances gets healed almost immediately. Something to think about though.
