I posted gadgets for girls a long time ago, and the thread successfully got on everyone's nerves. Here, I'm presenting a revised version!

  • Silky web
    Same as the original web grenade. It immobilizes and slows down the target.

  • Poison caltrops
    It does minor lethal and toxic damage over time, slows down the infected foes and reduces their recharge speed.

  • Long-range taser gun
    A ranged stun gun with a very small-angle cone. The affected targets are weakened by the stun and will deal reduced damage.

  • Eagle-eye mascara
    Same as targeting drone, a toggle which enhances your to-hit chance and perception.

  • Lipstick pepper spray
    Same as smoke grenade. It reduces the accuracy and perception of the affected targets.

  • Invisible foundation
    This toggle makes the wearer invisible and grants a defense bonus. Invisibility also increases the possibility to land a lethal hit by granting a chance to build-up.

  • Smart mine
    You can place a mine on the ground over a targeted location. If you target on a previously placed mine (the mines should be made targetable), you will get a temporary power called detonate, and the new mine will be placed right next to your selection. Multiple mines placed in this manner are linked and only one detonate power will be granted. Click detonate to trigger the linked smart mines at the same time. If you want a mine to function in the same way as a trip mine, simply place it on a new location away from the already placed ones.

  • Perplexing fragrance
    You place a trap on the ground. Any villains near the trap will trigger it to release a smoke that cause confusion.

  • iBot
    Gun drone but allows controls by players with a subset of mastermind commands.

  • Sticky web
    Same as the original web grenade. It immobilizes and slows down the target.

  • Charged caltrops
    It does minor lethal and energy damage over time, slows down the affected foes and slowly drain their endurance.

  • Long-range electrocuter
    A ranged stun gun with a very small-angle cone. The affected targets are weakened by the stun and their endurance drained.

  • See-through glasses
    Same as targeting drone, a toggle which enhances your to-hit chance and perception.

  • Mini chaff
    Same as smoke grenade. It reduces the accuracy and perception of the affected targets.

  • Optical warp
    This toggle makes the wearer invisible and grants a defense bonus. Invisibility also increases the possibility to land a lethal hit by granting a chance to build-up.

  • Detonator
    You can place a mine on the ground at the location that you are standing. Each placed mine will be added as a pet in your pet window. The mine can have two stances: passive and aggressive. In the aggressive stance, the mine will automatically detonate when a foe gets close. This setting corresponds to the original behavior of the trip mine. In the passive stance, the mine will not detonate unless it is told to. The mine can only accept one command: dismiss, which will detonate it. If you issue the dismiss all command, all the mines will detonate at the same time.

  • Obnoxious odor
    You place a trap on the ground. Any villains near the trap will trigger it to release a smoke that cause them to puke.

  • iSpy
    A stealthy gun drone but allows controls by players with a subset of mastermind commands.

The whole thing just seems kind of pointless to me, honestly. The changes you suggest can either be mostly done via IO slotting or are unrealistic. The devs will never give blasters MM controls for their turret pet.

I don't think most of my changes can be achieved by IO. The only exception is caltrops, where you can slot chance for damage from targeted AoE and slow IO sets.

For the unrealistic part, yes, I know that the changes will never happen. That's part of the reason why the thread is presented in this form such that people here won't jranger it too heavily. Nevertheless, if I were to re-create devices while keeping it as close as possible to the original, that's what I would like to make it.

I agree that the dev probably won't let blasters to have mastermind commands. My opinion is that the ability to control just one gun drone won't make the set overpowered. I believe the common usage is simply asking the gun drone to follow, which is already what it is doing now. When the devices power set was designed, the tech of masteminds was not yet available, so even if the dev wanted to do something like that, it was impossible. It's probably too late to make such changes because of the cottage rule. And people will probably think that mastermind commands should be exclusive to masterminds.
