Well, guess I'll update.
DTM was out of office these last few days. I was able to get in touch with someone today. The reason they were out of office was that they were conducting an academy, and I can't get in until feb 1.
I applied for a lil gap filler with the census, but I live in SFL and dont speak spanish, or any language other than english for that matter, so I'm not exactly too hopeful.
DTM sounded pretty enthused by my call, so I think I've got a good shot there, but that still leaves me for like 3 weeks being able to get my fix. Around that time frame I should have money to return, however, since I've got a nice long drill at Englin USAF base in Texas (I think galveston is how it was spelled, dont remember.)
Thats another place in Texas I can say I've been. Take that, Umbral!
I am very happy to have been able to raid with you all one last time before my break. It was fun and im sorry to whoever I got killed (we had 3 deaths left before I ran through after angus, and 2 after, so I know somebody got clapped up =P)
Oya, I have received your PM and am sorry that I will have to again decline. I only play so much at the moment because I dont have a job and it's way too cold outside to be exercising. When I do start working again it is very possible that these monday night events could come to an end for me... I'm getting old and where I was once spry I am now fatigued, I need 8 hours of sleep before work, I cant even screw it up once a week or my whole sleep cycle goes out of whack.
You know, after you said what you said to me abut knowing good people when you play with them even if you've never met in real life I remembered something. You see I used to be one of those WoW types, cept I was a warrior through and through and the release warrior was absolutely terrible.
Getting my mount was proving to be an exercise in futility bet then someone who I had played with on occasion offered me 90g and an invite. I thanked him for his kindness and he said something to the effect of it being just a game.
I told him that I had thanked him for the guesture and that the medium he chose to extend the hand of kindness from was irrelivent. I even remembered his handle (Fireston) and some of the other fun members of the guild (Imastabu and Beacon)
I wanted to thank you for that, It is very rare that I have any true memories, just imaginative fabrications based on knowledge of my life that I am told of by others. When I have a spark, with a memory, I hold onto it, its precious, regadless of what the memory is.
Well, thats it for now, my sub runs today. Not sure when today but today is the day.

Well, as I usually say with the loss of my fiancee and job (no call/no show for a month in a coma does that) times have been rough. Even with my job I wouldn't have been able to keep the 1/1 in Boca we shared (950 for a 1/1, only in Boca) and even if I made the money for it my name was not on the lease. With no job I live back in the poverty striken home of my upbringing.
I was able to find a job in August of 09 but that was ruined when my service in the USMC(R) was brought up and I was told in no legally certain but no unclear terms that I would have to choose between them when my "re-up" window came.
I do not have the fiscal means to continue a sub, all of my little money goes to support of this home and family, which did not fare well with the houses main bread winner (my dad) losing his job and being down for 8 months after being in the same accident I was in with seemingly perfect timing for the economic colapse. My last day is the 12th and I wish the best to all until my eventual return.
Hopefully it will be sooner than later, a good friend of mine tipped me off to the security firm that got the federal protective services contract for the area. They hire 90% ex/reserve military for this field, With me having a combat MOS (0621) and 9 years Nisei GoJu I think I stand a pretty good chance of getting snatched up. I have a diverse reference list (teacher, friend who gave me the tip that is former air force and in the fed prot service field now, Staff sergeant, A [Censored] MAJOR WHO WORKS WITH CONGRESS!!!, and a cop) I think the biggest thing, however, is that based on my classes for the D and G security licenses I'm in the top ten % simply for speaking english.
So wish me luck too, 21 p/h starting at the entry level isn't anything to sneeze at and I really, really reeeeaaallllly want this.
