Recluse's Victory pillbox extravanganza! (Villian Side) 12/22/09

The Holiday season is upon us, and what better way to celebrate in-game than to have a shot at some of the harder-to-get badges red-side?

When: Tuesday, December 22nd. PM 10:00(Eastern)/PM 9:00(Central)/PM 8:00(Mountain)/PM 7:00(Pacific)

Where: Recluse's Victory, Arachnos base lobby.

Arch-villains/Heroes: Manticore, Back Alley Brawler, Positron, Sister Psyche, Synapse, Statesman.

Badges: Dead-eye, Uppercut, Destroyer, Interrogator, Breakneck, Oppressor, Blackguard.

My plan is to have two teams of villains co-operating to take down the Heroes. The first team, which I will call the Pillbox Team, will be our main team for taking down/capturing the pillboxes and defeating the NPC Heroes when they appear. Team two, which I will call the Guardians, will be our PvP team. While team two will be helping with the Pillboxes/NPC Heroes, their secondary task will be to defend the Pillbox team from possible Player Hero interruptions. Why am I doing this? Because this event will be during the peak-hours of PvP, and as such there may be opposing players in the zone. There is no guarantee of this happening, but it doesn't hurt to be prepared.

Pillbox Team:

1. Proto-Zero: DB/EA Stalker. (Me)
2. Infinite Agony: Mind/Thorn Dominator. (Paragon)
3. Robin Rogue: Dark/Kin Corruptor. (Master-Blade)

Players should arrive in the Arachnos lobby at least ten minutes before the event begins so that I can organize the teams. If you can grab an Arachnos heavy, that would help a lot.

If you would like to join the Guardian team, I would suggest bringing a toon that has decent PvPing abilities. The Pillbox team can be composed of whatever characters you like. De-buffing powers will be favorable for the Pillbox team, and buffing powers will be favorable for the guardian team.

Leave a reply stating your character name, Archetype, Primary/Secondary, and team (Pillbox or Guardian). Hope to see you there!

I'm unsure why, but I get the feeling this will be seen as a neon sign for any heroes looking for a free meal, especially during prime time in one of the only 2 PvP zones with any significant activity. I wish you good luck in your endeavors.

Pillbox team or guardian, Nericus?

this may be worth sending a hero over to freedom for.

Okay, so it's about four hours till we get started, and even though we've only got four volunteers, we're still giving it a go. I've got a plan which should work if we can stay focused and cooperate.

Nericus, if you could bring a Brute, that would be great. Also, if anybody has or can get a Shivan or HVAS, make sure to keep those ready. Basically, if we can swamp the AV with Arachnos Heavies, Shivans and what-not, he should go down. I almost took down the Brawler solo with a Shivan and Arachnos Heavy, but he landed a lucky punch through my defense.

So, the event is still on, just make sure you bring some Temporary powers and inspirations. If we fail, oh well, at least we tried. But if everything works out, this has a good chance of succeeding. Hope to see you all there!

Well, I'm pleased to report that it wasn't a complete and total failure! w00t!

Okay, okay, we only got one Hero. Granted, only Manticore and Back Alley Brawler showed up, but we got one at least. With a few Pick-up villains, shivans, heavies and other pets, we managed to beat Manticore down to the ground. When we got to babs, we did the same thing. Until he shot Unstoppable... then a swarm of Player Heroes appeared and scattered us. Babs regenerated his health back and the heroes weren't letting up, so we called it quits.

So, thanks to those that helped out. We snagged the Dead-Eye badge tonight, and maybe we can do this again sometime. Preferably a lot earlier though. xD

It was fun while the Heroes weren't attacking, anyway. What we should have done is transfer our toons to a server where PvP is "dead", seeing as how transfers are still free. We could've probably had the whole zone to ourselves that way, lol.

If we could get together a few people in the early morning, it could work. All we need to do this is buffs/debuffs, a brute to hold aggro, and shivans/heavies.

I'll think about it in January. Hopefully we can get another of these started. Let me know if you guys would be interested in doing it in the morning. =D
