Claw/Elec

Please dont get mad if this has been posted before, I checked the first page and yall know I cant be troubled with looking more or using this so called "search" feature.

So... is it good? I was worried about stam but I seem to be handling 2 defensive (.26ed/sec) toggles just fine, so im sure with stam I can get the 3rd and with perf procs and power sink I can get the damage toggle on top of that.

I know its not the nicest thing since sliced bread but energize is definately a drink to put some hair on elec armor's chest. I also know res sets arent "tah shiznat" but with IO's you can still get decent def and regen thrown in for nice overall protection.

So I guess what im asking is if there's anyone who has already tried this and can tell me "It's a horrible, horrible failure!" in which case I'll drop it.

Had one on test. It isn't a horrible, horrible failure of a set.

Shockwave makes just about anything groovy. Spin+Lightning Field is hell on wheels.

My main problem with /elec is that end drains don't scale up for squat. Great against +0, rather useless against +4s.

Be well, people of CoH.

Ive stalled on an claw/elec brute at around 24ish.

On paper it has all the intangibles.

Energize was the carrot, I just dont think its gonna make it.

Yes the allure of shockwave + spin + lightning field is promising, I just dont see myself sloggin 7 more lvls to get there.

Take from that what you will.

I have a level 33 Broadsword/Elec and its a lot of fun, except for the fact that Lightning Field is causing a LOT of running, very annoying.

I enjoyed my Claws/Elec probably more so than my Claws/FA and I did enjoy how some of the game is vastly different with a pile of Energy resistance. My Claws/DA isn't IO'd out so it's not a great comparison but Dark is probably studier. Alas on the higher level tfs SR, WP, and Invul still are stronger so I fear I won't take the new shinny out very often but stick with the old stand bys.

Got my Claws/Elec to 50 last week.

I won't lie to you /Elec has a high learning curve, its tough and when you get a couple +def on you, you're near unkillable. So you are definitely good for teaming, and you'll have loads of fun taunting sappers [I was literally doing push ups in front of one after I had dispatched his bretheren] standing in CoS death end drain rings... good times!

But its no picnic either... with just the +3% and Perf +10 I was able to clear a section of the wall in Cim and he may be able to handle a RWZ challenge.

To put it in perspective I 'earned' all 6 debt badges but lvl 47.

In good conscience I find it hard to recommend this set paired with a scrapper after playing it on a brute with higher resistance caps, Darkest Night, and Hasten. Its not a bad pair just brutes have a lot more synergy with it in my opinion.
