Electric armor has a damage aura as well. If you're willing to experiment without the lines of a brute, try a /fire blaster with blazing aura and hot feet. Or a fire/earth dom with mud pots and hot feet. 
I thought about goig outside of brute but i was worried about getting 1 shotted every time i enter melee, lol. I wanted to kill large swarms, and i just wanted the most hp i can get.

Also don't forget the Siphon insight proc... Chance for To Hit buff.. always helpful. My other favorite is Razzle Dazzle's Immob proc in OP.

I'm working on an experimental build that uses the damaging auras as the primary weapon.
I know Dark Armor is weak on survivability, but i can slot 2 damage procs in the fear aura to give an added damage boost to the aura, and neg energy isn't often resisted.
I know fire does the most flat damage but is kinda squishy.
Is there another armor that might be better suited for this? I'm trying to decide which armor will give me the most survivability with a decent damage aura.
What do you guys think?
