What direction are you trying to go in with this build? Will you be teaming much later on or will you be soloing almsot exclusively? Do you intend to include the pet aura procs to make your bots more survivable? Why are you sloting Shadow fall with defense IOs when it is better slotted with 1 or 2 defense and the rest resistance? Why are you slotting Dark servent for Immobo when you want the pet up as often as possible and it only has one immbo power? Why take Petrifying gaze when fearsome gaze has a much longer duration and can hold multiple enemies instead of just one? Why slot manuevers with more than two defense? Why are you slotting Electrical fences with endurance instead of immobo duration and damage?
Do you really use the personal attacks from bots primary? because honestly, that power choice would be better off used on something else.
Also, you are going to want to put two defense IOs in protector bots as it will offer you some great defense.
Dark Servant Powers:
Chill of the Night (Toggle: PBAoE, Minor DoT(Negative), Foe -To-Hit)
Darkest Night (Toggle: Ranged (Targeted AoE), Foe -DMG)
Twilight Grasp (Ranged, Foe -DMG, -To-Hit, Team Heal)
Tenebrous Tentacles (Ranged (Cone), Moderate DMG(Negative/Smash), Foe Immobilize, -To-Hit
Petrifying Gaze (Ranged, Foe Hold)
While I don't fully agree with Tokyo's opinion of slotting Shadow Fall the main idea I agree. If min/maxing is what you want then you have quite a many powers slotted a bit weirdly.Main things:
-PICK Fearsome Stare.
-Discard personal attacks
-Make Dark servant permanent
-Read once more the things Tokyo pointed out concerning slotting.
-Try to play tankermind. The damage mitigation of well built bots/dark MM (like a few other MM prim/sec combos) is imo plain crazy.
-Learn to play Tankermind 
Search some builds in these forums and and check how they are slotted . I'd recommend a respec really soon. If you can afford to spend ~200mil to a build try my cheapo bots/dark build for a couple of weeks. Then recheck some more builds in forums. Maybe ask a few questions and reshape the build according to your personal likings.. IMO it's easiest and fastest way to learn and test another type of MM. In case you dont like this build I'd recommend to check for example spiritfox's version. They are quite a like tho me thinks mine has a minor upper hand at performance and a bit bigger at value. But it's very good option. (Of course I prefer my own build )
There's also a bots/dark build from Powerforge in MM forums that will also perform very well tho iirc it's the most expensive one of these three.

TBH I've spent most of my time fumbling around in and out of the game over the years, and haven't really focused on optimal setups etc, but I didn't realise mine was that bad. At first I thought I'd have a right job on my hands rebuilding this toon, but I think I may have been able to salvage him without too much infamy going down the pan

I'm short of a couple of IOs (1 more Gambler +recharge and Purple for HT), and a few hami-o's (will replace the blood mandate IOs I have in Assault and Protector bots). Have been comfortably running 0x6 baby new year mishes (4 purple drops in 4 days + a respec recipe!!!).

4 in 4 days? WTH, I've been running +0/8 with my bots/traps and haven't gotten any, I think I'll do some farming over the Holiday.
