The P.v.P.E.C. is a collection of players from multiple servers that are dedicated to enhancing the City of Heroes/Villains experience by helping plan, support, and run pvp events. Our shared goal is to complement our existing community projects through events such as zone pvp, kickballs, tournaments and various arena competitions.

Recently the P.v.P.E.C. has been taken over by new leadership. Sadly our last leader had to move on to bigger and better things in real life. Now myself and PerilX along with our very dedicated crew are looking to rebuild and expand the P.v.P.E.C. In order to expand and bring even more quality pvp events across all 11 servers we need more volunteers willing to help plan and run various pvp events.

No event planning experience is necessary. No pvp experience is necessary. All that is needed is a willingness to help and to learn about pvp events and the pvp community in general. We are a very relaxed and fun committee and hope that we can continue to bring quality pvp events to the City of Heroes/Villains Community for a long time to come.

If you are interested in joining our team please send me a p.m. here on the blue boards including what you would be able to do in order to help our committee and the server you would like to represent.

Thank you!

I'm pretty sure a good many of us moved to freedom. That is where the action is.

This. Last time I revisited my old home server, it was empty.

The problem with this is I have multiple 50s on Infinity that I really don't want to pay $10 a pop to transfer to Freedom (EM/WP Stalker, Fire/Kin Corr, Son/Rad Corr).

I'm with you on that one... but by the time I realize I'd have to re level (at a much slower pace). Re IO. Re Accolade and Re Dual build, 10 bucks looks a lot more appealing than probably 100+ hours on it.

All the more reason for you to join the PVPEC. With regular monthly events being planned on the server there eventually would be more pvp on the server.

I represent Champion and most of us have moved toons to Freedom as well. Everyone still has toons on the server though and they still show up for the events. :-)

I'm not a PvP guy, and lord knows I'm not a community organizer.

But I do hope someone steps up here and takes on this mantle.

I miss the days when Infinity had a rip-roarin' PvP community, even when I seldom got to participate. The boards were livelier and the PvP zones were fun to pop into once a month or so and just mindlessly get thumped.

I miss the Simians too, for similar reasons- they were passionate about their RP and made any team you were on with them a different experience.

Infinity was a better place when all the types of play the game supports were well represented.

Also: Six years of casual play begins to look an awful lot like one year of hardcore play.
