Hey guys, im looking for a good farming build with a FIRE/EM. I will mostly be running with one of my ** freinds, which will probably help alot. But, i do want a survivable build for soloing. So, just an all around solid build. Did i mention im on no budget, so throw whatever youve got at me. Thanks

I'd make use of the search feature, there are a lot of good Fire/Em builds floating around here.

How much of a budget ?

If you are running with a fire/kin you can build for just moderate recharge between 30 and 50 % and throw everything else into defense. Your friend can boost your recharge rate, and fulcrum shift will take care of your damage.

You can slot kinetic crash sets in your KB powers to get 7.5% recharge bonuses and KB protection on the cheap.

Uhhhh, unlimited budgit, i already said that. And, i want a solo survivable build like i said. So, yeah

I'm not really sure how to take this request for help.

If you have an unlimited budget, build a fire/kin of your own. That's what I'd do. If your friend's fire/kin is properly built, he doesn't need your blaster.

I see farming nowadays as mostly a solo activity *if* you've invested in your farm build. If your friend has mostly a SO build then you want to roll an empath or another kin. He'll do plenty of damage in a farm environment without your blaster disrupting targets for fulcum shift.

If you're still insistent on "helping" then just build a fire/em with all the AoEs, aim, build up and boost range. SOs will be just fine because you're not solo farming. I wouldn't spend the influence on pricey IOs to build a blaster for the scenario you describe. It's a waste. Your friend should be locking down all targets anyway...why would you need survivability?

Sorry I read that as on a budget, So as Emily Litella used to say "Never Mind".

Your best bet then are makos bite sets and thunderstrike and blessing of the zyphers, build for ranged defense. A steadfast unique will also be very useful. You should be able softcap and still have sets open. You will then likely need the recovery uniques to power everything you have to run to get that cap, and after that whatever is left as a defense power you will be slotting with lotg global recharges, and any set you can just load with the purples. To get good recharge.

This will give you a survivable character that can also farm when teamed with a kin.

It seems a little bit of an odd desire though. Seeing as you have an unlimited budget, I have to guess you really enjoy farming with a kin. If that is correct, something like a rad/fire or rad/ment would be a much better choice. You can combine Fulcrum Shift, Cosmic Burst and Psychic Shockwave for mass annihilation

I love these kind of phrases... They always seem to come from fairly new players too. Really throws up the RMT buyer flag. Speaking as someone who has multiple toons sitting at or near the inf cap, and having several friends with just as much, there is no such thing as an 'unlimited budget'.

"Unlimited budget" = "Whatever you can come up with, I can afford."

Yes, there's technically a "limit" the cost of a budget, but then again you can easily get around the 2 billion inf "limit" on a character by placing strategic bids via the market. It's only when you start to look at really expensive builds across several characters that you begin to feel the hurt on your wallet.
